My concerns about suspension tuning...

Last time i check i think the TSX is about 50 kg heavier(correct me if i'm wrong) and since all the parts that we've been waiting for such as TEIN JIC or whatever company that's located in japan made all their parts for Euro-R. So my concern is if we put suspension bits like springs or coilovers will it be able to perform on a car that has a same platform but heavier??? I reckon'ed that someone in this forum has said somthing about TEIN springs that's why i got this problem think'in
So if said that these parts from Japan wouldn't work then we wouldn't have any performance parts for our suspension??? All we got is Eibach, Neuspeed, and Comptech springs!!! no REAL coilovers???

remember they dont' just have the "euro r" in japan but also the standard accord. In europe it's called the "accord executive 2.4" and is within 100lbs of the tsx. I'm betting most of the increased weight is in the larger wheels + tires and stiffer suspension meaning springs et al dont' have to support that extra weight.

im just scared that ride quality will suffer i want to upgrade with the comptech suspension parts like the strut bar tower brace springs etc.
However i also want shocks and a camber kit.
So im being patient

I'm no expert on springs & suspension, but I can't see how that small a difference in vehicle weight could matter much. Unless you always drive alone, the amount of weight borne by the suspension is going to vary by way more than 50kg just by adding passengers. In fact, it's not hard to imagine a > 50kg weight difference between drivers. So it would seem to me that any spring/shock combo would have to be effective over a range of vehicle load weights to be much use at all. If you're talking about unsprung weight, that would be a bit different. Same if the F/R weight balance were different, but I doubt that is the case. That's my two cents anyway.
