My concept for '06/'07 TSX Front lip

My concept for '06/'07 TSX Front lip
Ok this idea is not original but I thought the concept worked out really well. Guys with subaru's are doing this. The lip is made out of the rubber garage door seal.
Personally, I have never liked any front lip for the '06 tsx. I have always loved the mugen bumper but just can't afford or justify buying it. Specifically I like the black piece in the middle at the bottom which goes straight across on the mugen. I hate how the stock '06 has the big gap at the bottom. I was experimenting this morning and here's what I came up with. I don't think the rubber would hold up in the long run so i'm looking for something more durable. I have even considered buying a vlimited sti front lip and cutting it up to try and fit the groove but i'm not sure if the line of our bumper is close enough to the wrx lines. Basically, i want my stock bumper straight across at the bottom, no gap. Anywho, here are some pics. What do you guys think??

I actually really like bro! And you said its the rubber from the bottom of a garage door? Did you even cut the angle on the front of it too or is that the bottom section of the rubber? But it like a Home Depot or something and attached it with what? I always like the Mugen piece your talking about too, hence all the questions

There are also those $60 front lips on eBay that are black rubber and snap on, similar to what you've done, but I've only seen them molded for the 04/05 TSX bumper.

I did not cut the bottom section..thats how its made with the nice little lip. I did however, folder the rubber on the ends then had to cut a tiny bit off each end to make it flush with the line of the bumper. see pics.
I used some small screws that had washers already attached and just screwed up into the bumper. I'm fairly anal about doing stuff like this but I figured I'd never see them.

i think this looks really great on your ASM, and it would look great on PWP as well, but with those of us with darker cars, it might just get kind of lost. i've got CGP with blacked out window trim and gunmetal wheels though, so something like this could match well.
keep the thread updated on how well it's holding up!!

Is waiting in
that looks good. You should patent the idea and hire some workers in japan to make it for you to give it that JDMwhore appeal and throw in a carbon fiber version and give it like 300% mark up.

Thanks guys.
If anyone knows where we could possibly get someone to make one out of a harder material I'd be all for it. Like eurtsx said, I know there's machV and like AamirCWITR said ronjon. Anybody got any really good ties with either ?
I agree. Probably not very noticable for the darker colors. I guess someone could photoshop something to get an idea of what it might look like.
Maybe so, I did not try. I put it on in less than an hour actually. I might tinker with it more but the main thing was the concept itself and the possibility of getting someone to make one out of a harder material

Even with darker cars, with a glossy carbon fiber insert in the middle, it will definitely be noticeable. This is probably the cleanest front lip design I have seen.

I sent Dan @ MachV a message regarding the possibility of making this lip for the '06/'07 TSX out of polyurethane and here was his response.
Hmm, sounds interesting. My biggest worry is that I wouldn't be able to sell enough. Minimum quanitity is 100 pieces. How many do you think we could sell, assuming they're $219 each like the Subaru ones? Lead time would be about two months. Think we could pre-sell a large number, like 50? If we did that, it'd be any easy case.

I know thats alot of units but I'd really like to hear comments from you guys and how much interest there is for making this happen.
