Jacking Points
Would like to change oil/filter on TSX. Are there jacking points on front and back so I can get floor jack in and then get jack stands on sides?
?

One jack needed. One jack stand ( Saftey ) Jack up the front passenger side. Remove passenger side tire. Easy access to oil plug and most important, easy access to the oil filter. With the tire on the oil filter is a B**** to get at. I found that the pliers type oil wrench works best.. as I have tried the cap wrench and the band wrench. The cap type slips and its a tight fit for the band type. There is a portion of exposed frame in the front that you can use a floor jack and jack up the front evenly if so desired.

I have yet to see a pic of someone removing the oil filter from the top. Until then, I say it cant be done.
Besides, doing it from the right side wheel well is very easy.

if you down engine bay from pasengar side, near the exhaust shield, you shall see the "blue" oil filter. be careful of exhaust manifold can be very hot and, don't scratch paint when lean on the side.

Take a pic showing yourself doing this. I know where the filter is and I've seen it from the top, but unless your some sort of wrist/arm contortionist, I dont see a way to reach under the manifold to grab it.
So like I said, unless someone has a pic of them doing this,

i did it at 10,000km and will get free type B services at 16,000km from dealer. right now my wife ask me to stay away from the car because we got a 2 month old to look after 
use a socket type oil filter remover, and it's quite easy. and hand tight the filter. i am only 5'6" tall, but then i don't have a buhdda belly against body panel when i lean over to remove the thing , oh, a little chair may help
look like i got to do it so people will believe me
okay la, i will try sneak out to snap some pic if i can!!

where you jack the car up and where you can put stands are two different points. yes you can put jack stands at the jack point but sometimes that is not possible... the question is where else can you safely put stands. the answer is on the rails. make sure it's the rails and not the floor otherwise you are in for a big surprise.

one more thing. if you are jacking your car up on a lift. make sure you do so in an even manner. there have been cases where the windshield can crack because too much stress was placed on one side of the car. this rarely happens on a modern car, it happens more on a hobby car, classic car, etc..
FYI... most lifts in garages can't access the jack points specified by the owner's manual of most cars. hence the lifts will be placed on the rails of the car. Usually the front side gets the rails where the rear portion gets the jack points.

what exactly is meant when you guys say rails. I had a tough time actually rotating my tires a few weekends ago because I couldn't find a place for the jack stands. Pics would be nice if you guys can snap one or two. Much thanks.

quick question guys, i was trying to jack up the rear of the car today cause i was trying to adjust the rear ride height on the tein ss. I used the rear bumper jacking point but somehow the jack couldn't go any higher so i couldn't place my jack stands on the side jack points.
Should i place the jack at the side jack points and then place the jack stands at the rail (its on the inner of the side jack point and it looks like the flame of the car).
Sorry for the stupid description, its so not clear. haha
Do you guys know what i'm talking about?
any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

maybe this is a previous question that another member asked and answered. i did some search about this but i'm not too clear about this. I'm afraid that i would kill myself if the jack stands or jack aren't properly placed..

Zombie old post but I could not resist.

Geez... try owning a 3rd Gen Integra for 20 years and doing all your oil changes from the top.
That's one of the best things about the TSX (and Accords) - how easy it is to do oil changes (from the top) and all the S P A C E around the engine.
My two cents, rant done :P
