For those of you who had your windshield replaced, how much did you pay?

I got mine replaced on an '06 TSX for about $300. From what I was told by the dealer and by the windshield place they recommended, you can get the OEM windshield with the 'ACURA' logo for about $800-900 and the Acura dealer does not replace it, they have someone else come and do it, OR you can get (from what I was told) the same OEM windshield without the 'ACURA' logo for much less and installed by the same person. The windshield I ended up has the 'Plinkerton' logo on it, other than that, it is the exact same. The only other thing to look out for is how they adhere it to the car. They should use polyethylene, not silicone.

Good Luck.

I had the glass in my '04 replaced and the OEM glass they put in had HONDA on it... just like the original. Cost was just over $500. At the time, the non-OEM glass was actually more! This was 2 years ago.

I paid $0 cause the car had a chipped windshield when I bought it. Drove it off the lot and turned around and went back 2 miles down the road when I realized that it had a chip. They replaced it for free but it's not OEM glass. Mine says PPG Glass on it. Oh well...it looks exactly the same as the OEM.

If your windhshield is cracked, some states require your insurance company to cover it with no charge to you. Florida is one of those states. My minivans windshield got smashed by a flying object and the windshield was replaced the next day, in my driveway.

I paid $280 to have mine replaced about 2 months ago. Georgia doesn't require insurance to take care of free windshield replacement.
