How to disable stock alarm before shipping?
Hey all - anybody know how I can disable the stock alarm system prior to shipping the car on a truck? Driving an 2007 Acura TSX. Thanks!

You may not really need to worry about it. I've taken my '04 TL on Amtrak's Auto Train many times. They warn you to disable your alarm before giving it to them to load on the train, is in order to reduce the risk of a dead battery and the consequent delays in unloading at the other end the next morning. On he advice of folks on this forum prior to my first Auto Train trip in 2005, I've never done anything about the alarm, and I've never had a problem. The Auto Train is NOT a smooth ride at all, train bounces and rocks a lot, but I've never had any problem with the TL or now with my wife's TLX.

I see no followup so guess OP went to his forum but I have shipped multiple cars each one locked with no issue on the alarm. I was never told by any shipper they had to disconnect anything to prevent alarm from going off.

The factory alarm won't go off unless someone breaks your window and unlocks the car, or opens your hood.
They may tell you to disable your alarm if you have an aftermarket alarm with shock sesnsors/tilt sensors.
