Honda CR-V mileage inconsistency report on Autocheck
I am thinking of buying a used Honda CR-V and Autocheck shows a huge mileage inconsistency: on 04/20/2012 it shows 36,351; then on 06/25/2012 it shows 360,000!! Both of these were entered in Cortlandt Manor DMV in NY. The next reading is on 04/08/2016--it shows 97,824.
There is no mileage entry in Carfax neither for 04/20/2012 nor for 06/25/2012. It simply states for 04/20/2012: "Title issued or updated. New owner reported". And for 06/25/2012 it states:"Title issued or updated. Loan or lien reported".
Should I be worried?

Thank you very much for you responses. But, if it truly were a clerical error, wouldn't it make more sense if the number was 363,510 or 360,351? I read somewhere that that inconsistency may sometimes be a result of a car being a total loss. Do you know anything about that?

OP if you are that concerned about this being a salvaged car based on the mileage mistake - why don't you go and find another CR-V?? They certainly aren't scarce. Is there something special about this one?

There are scarce where I live now. The price for this one is good, and among all the CR-Vs a drove that drives the best.

Not sure where your live but having a hard time thinking where they would be scarce, but okay. See if the seller will allow you to get an independent inspection by your favorite mechanic.
I honestly believe the mileage was a typo. Other than that one entry the mileage seems to make sense.

Are you guys trying to tell me that a person can't do 12,000 miles a month for 30 months?! ..
At some point, common sense needs to be employed.
