Who got the highest mileage TSX around here. For those with 100/120K plus miles post any major items that you had to repair/replace.

118k miles and counting fast. I had the drivers door actuator go out around 60k (covered by extended warranty) and the A/C system explode around 90k (covered by extended warranty as well).

Otherwise, mine has been pretty solid.

04 6MT with 118,000 and counting. So far the only thing it's needed were axles, tires, and a leaky AC hose.

Although Im fairly certain I have a bad motor mount and the axles I bought from Heeltoe have been clicking/popping around tight corners. It's also gonna need brakes soon, potentially front wheel bearings, and a few other front suspension components along with the regular scheduled maintenance.

Yeah i have 240k miles and still running great. No major issues at all except for tranny but that was driver error, not really a defect.

I just crossed the 200K milestone 2 days ago on my way down to Charleston SC from Charlotte NC for xmas break. No major issues at all....this could be th bestest car ever!!! runs as smooth as before. minor issues throughout the years:

- shutter breaks...no matter what rotors or pad I use
- front interior door light is out....button is warped or something
- driver seat slightly moves occasional when breaking...Ive read on this forum others who also had this problem
- Alternator was replaced under warranty
- door locks on passenger was not working properly...had to take the door apart to put a rod back into the proper place and it worked....also had to use a mirror to see and unfortunately, left the mirror in the door and had to take it apart....AGAIN! haha

Other than that, the car has been excellent. Ive been thinking about getting a TL in the future.

I upgraded to slotted aftermarket rotors and has been perfect for 2 years now. Before they would warp every month. Best investment PERIOD. I'm super impressed at the reliability of this car so far. Knock on trees.

I'll be at 120K by the time I get home today!

Two things are keeping me with this car...

1) I like/enjoy it.
2) It's paid off!

only 85 K on the 2004. Only maintenance was oil changes, brakes twice and tires once. Hopefully it stays that way..

Guys:

What exactly are "slotted" aftermarket rotors?

Does "slotted" mean perforated? Are these the type of rotors that high performance cars such as the Porsche 911 have? These rotors are not completely smooth but have perforations or holes?

I thought I replied to a thread like this a while back, but anyways....

@ ~ 97000 miles

Problems:
Transmission replaced
Axles replaced
Motor mount fixed
Brake rotors, pads, and lines upgraded
Creaking in rear shelf (fixed at 5k miles)

While I do think this was an unexpected amount of things to fix, my mods, driving style, and condition of the roads may have contributed to these items failing.

the ones i got have long slots not the holes. But no these aren't only for performance. You can use them just to have better braking with no more warping AT ALL. i paid about 400 bucks for new front rotors. Totally worth it.

120,000 miles.

Dash lights went out, new cd player installed, warranty.
Warped rotors replaced twice under warranty.
Rear bearings replaced at 70,000.

Other minor problems but overall it's been running well.

05 Tsx @ 105k
Not as many miles as you guys but

20k - Front disk warped
95k - AC Blewed
100k - Front wheel bearings - driver side
105k - (A days ago) accessory belt

Everything would have cost a pretty penny but was all cover under Acura Care Warranty (till 116k)

Basically its been back to the shop more times the past 3 months then the 4.5 years I own it.. lol

Brakes- New rotors
Battery- New Optima Red
Tires- a couple sets
Right Axel-leaks, might need to replace or reseal it. No problems from it
Just had my timing chain slip, we'll see how this goes.

The holes are termed cross-drilled?

Just found this board - i have a crazy commute to work - have 186K+ miles on my 04 TSX and LOVE THIS CAR!

Issues over the years:
* Agree with the router postings from about - car shakes on breaking - gonna look at those after market ones.
* AC did crap out - but i was within warranty at the time and that got fixed for free.
* Clutch around 90K, second clutch still looked good when checked at 175K
* Wacky battery wire short where battery connects to engine. Replaced battery and all internal wires (not cheap labor project)
* Paint chipping on front hood - drives me crazy but haven't gotten around to get it detailed. I commute 120 miles on the highway every day - so i'm sure my chipping is worse because of the roads i take

I am not a "car girl" and do not do any maintenance myself - i made the choice when i bought the car new that i would take it for every required maintenance at the local Dealer who is awesome (Bridgewater Acura, Bridgewater, NJ) and i think a lot of issues that i may have had were avoided by staying on top of that tuning and maintenance. Just my opinion. This car might just be that amazing that i could have neglected that work, and would been just fine. Dunno

Aiming for 300K We'll see!

Hey! I actually just moved from that area, but still commute to my job in Branchburg a couple days a week from NY. Funny, I always avoided that dealership like the plague, always went to Precision in Princeton. I bought the car for the same reason as you, as I don't do maintenance myself, either. Now I work from home 3 days a week and commute down there 1-2 times a week. It's 90 miles one way/180 round trip for me, so I try to keep the trips at 1 per week to keep the miles down. I'm only at 66k though, for now.

I am not a "car girl" either. I have all the maintenance done by Acura dealers. I have a acura dealer near me Stevenson Acura that is good but I prefer taking it to Lehigh Valley Acura in Emmaus, Pa. I pass Bridgewater Acura to get to that dealer. I travel from NC to NJ and back every few weeks so my car is loaded with chips. If I had known I would have invested in a clear bra when it was new.

Have 131k on 04 Tsx. Issues:

-Changed crap oem brakes/ rotors at 30k
-A/C blew about 70k
-Pass. Door Acutator
-Batteries(on 3rd one already)
-Driver Axle replaced
-Pass. side control arm
-Axle seal connections to tranny
-Valve cover oil leak
-Regular maintenance (i.e. spark plugs, tires, brakes, valve adjts.,fluid exchange)

Damn car is built to last and it will just follow maintenance schedule and your car will run till the engine dies w/ low cost to maintain to that point.

Just picked up a silver/ebony '04 6mt w/ 142k and the car is flawless, save for the rotors which I will be replacing with brembro blanks soon. Going from the '00 TL, I am thoroughly impressed with this car, especially since I wanted something a tad sportier and manual.

I am one year into owning a 2004 Arctic Blue Pearl TSX with 90,500 miles, 35% tint all around, and rear lip spoiler with no complaints, and I still have the OEM Panasonic battery. Though I plan to get a new battery before this winter.
