This month, I got a 2006 that has a dead HFL (no response when pressing the Phone button on the wheel).

I've got access to a 2004 TL that has a working HFL unit. Can the one be switched out for the other?

Sorry, my last post was a bit confusing.

What I meant to suggest was for you to go to a dealer site like Acura Parts | OEM Acura Parts | Factory Acura Parts and put in both cars and compare the parts numbers on both. If they are the same, they should be interchangeable!

P.S. The units aren't interchangeable, and oemacuraparts wants to charge me $875...sadly, that's after a 30% discount.

Honestly, if I were you, I would get an aftermarket bluetooth unit, plug it into your AUX port and then you have the added functionality of being able to stream music as well!!
