Hi. This is my first car and first time posting, so please don't assume I know certain terms, though I will do my best to figure it out.

I have an Acura 2005 TSX - no navi. I bought it from someone who had installed a GROM USB-3 kit. I did not meet the guy, so I'm not sure how it worked for him.

Since I bought it, I have not been able to use the GROM kit at all. Without a CD in the player, it will only toggle between the XM-1 and XM-2 settings. I can't get it to connect to AUX.

I thought the GROM unit was broken, but I don't think that's the case. I plugged in a usb and my phone indicated that it was charging. Still no sound from phone will come through stereo in car.

I thought the CD player was broken, so I tried a cd. It played, and then, while I was reconnecting the GROM and putting it back, the CD player stopped playing. It shows that there is a CD inside, but will not play any tracks. It says "Mechanical Error". I did what the car manual says to do (turn it off take out cd and turn back on), but that didn't work.

Any help or suggestions is welcome. I'm thinking about disabling the XM radio, but haven't found any clear descriptions of what to take out in the back. I don't want to buy a new GROM kit or any $100+ kit, it's too expensive right now. I'm mostly trying to figure out why it doesn't work.

did you read the the car manual or the grom manual?

my bluetooth grom didnt work for me, till i recharge my battery it started working
