goodbye tsx

After owning my 06 tsx for almost 9 years I sold it. Time to move forward. Many wonderful memories.

Wow - I have followed some of you postings regarding your TSX. I know you have a Kia, did it just no longer made sense to keep two vehicles?

Sorry to see you (the TSX) go...

You must be pushing close to 200,000 miles by now on the little red rocket. I think we both purchased our 06 TSX around the same time and been on the board since.

Any plans to come back to Acura down the road? I haven't been into the current middle of the road design, performance, and sportiness of the current line-up.

Sorry to see you go, fellow regular gas user . My 05 is still a baby @79K. Will keep an eye for a red Kia on the trips "down 95" .

Sorry to see you go! I'm thinking about selling, eventually, but the car owes me absolutely nothing and I'll probably keep it until the wheels fall off. It's still got more fun-factor and style than most new Honda/Acura products, too! LOL.

Stick around the forums - your knowledge doesn't disappear with the car, we hope!

I haven't been here in a long while and stumbled upon this thread. I agree, it's sad to hear you sold the TSX, but hope you keep the memories forever. (and continue to check in here!)

200,000 miles, saved around $1100-$1400 in gas $$ over 10 yrs, and zero maint problems probably.

first: When looking to buy a vehicle back then we wanted 6speed manual transmission with nav. and lots of extras. that limited us on choice. decided on the tsx. In the time we owned it we went on 3 cross country road trips, numerous trips from NC to NJ and back and other trips. we average 32-36 mpg. It had more than enough power. we did not race it. Replaced the rear brakes for the first and only time at 150K+ miles. The original tires on the vehicle lasted until almost 70K miles. did have problems with the battery going dead if not started for a few days. It was finally determined the Bluetooth connection was the cause. it was disconnected. the new owner has complimented me on how great the car is and now has 178K miles.

well, i finally decided to pop in on this forum, i am the new owner of the OPs red rocket TSX. the car currently has around 197500 miles. The car is honestly flawless. she did inform me she only ran regular gas in the car, which i put premium in it as that is what i am used to. i am sort of a gear head. i won an 02 rsx with the same motor thats in the tsx. so i am familiar with the car. we love this car. i replaced the tires and i put continental extreme contact DWS on it and got a four wheel alignment as well. i cant say they are better than the yokohama envigors that were on it... but they do drive better in the rain. i am currently shopping for front brakes as they are at almost 200k and the rotors are pretty warped. i am a very proud owner of this car and it is in great hands. i assure her of that all the time!

Welcome to the forum! You have one or the most desired type of TSX with the 6MT. nj2pa2nc has really taken care of her TSX and the hwy mileage is so much better than short trips stop/go city traffic for a car. I have +130,000 miles on my 06 TSX and it has been routine maint (tires, 2 batteries, fluid changes, filters, alignments and brakes), alternator, front upper control arm, and TSB power steering hose. I'm on my 2nd set of Conti DWS tires on my TSX and I absolutely love these tires. The TSX feels a little better with the PSI around 34-35 all around. I even use them on my RDX and MDX because of their all weather and handling capabilities.

I handed down my TSX to my son 2 years ago and he is now starting college in a few weeks. He is planning to keep the TSX for another 4-5 more years. The TSX is worth 2X-3X more than the blue book value shows.

It has the 2.0 I4, right? I had that same engine in my Sportage, but I have an RDX now, but I really loved the heck out of my Sportage!!! That'll run forever I'm pretty sure!!!

I've been in a Civic Si, 6 speed, that thing had the smoothest throws ever, it was really nice!!!

Well it looks like the new owner is also an AZiner, so the TSX will continue its life with a another real TSX enthusiasts, that cars been lucky!!!
