Fuel Injector Cleaner for 2005 Acura TSX

Hi im a newbie on this forum and also newbie on car maintenance. I bought a 2005 Acura TSX with 115k mileage. I want ask everyone about fuel injector cleaner for my acura. What is the best cleaner for this car? and it is really necessary to clean it? any benefits after cleaning it. sorry to ask too much guys. I just want to take care of my car. Again i am newbie! Advance thank you to all the people who will respond to this inquiry.

One more thing? any suggestion on the type of gas to fill this up? what is the best ( 87 / 89 / 91 / 93) octane. Thank you

Hello Echo!
Most of the time, Fuel injector cleaners are snake oil! meaning, they dont do jack shit but waste your money!

Premium fuels have cleaners and detergents in them! every time you run through a tank of gas, the injectors SHOULD be clean!

also, I believe your owners manual says to use 91+

I am also skeptical about additives in general, but I do add a bottle of Techron to the fuel tank every 5k miles.

My favorite placebo is a bottle of Sea Foam in the gas tank after every oil change.

From what I've read, RedLine fuel system cleaner has the highest polyether amine (PEA) content (per the MSDS). PEA is what does the cleaning.

If it helps put your mind at ease then I would recommend using the Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner.
