First accident last week, on my 2004 TSX :(

Had my first accident last week.. Been driving 9 years, maybe had a couple of scratches driving multiple cars. Life happens I guess, and luckily I was barely moving and the damage wasn't too serious. All fixed now but just wanted to share my experience..

Was merging onto a highway, in heavy traffic in the ramp. Following closely behind a Jetta, we both have an opening, ready to enter the highway, I go and check my sideview for traffic, and he decides to slam his brakes abruptly.

I avoid the direct hit by swerving left. Took out my fender, part of my bumper and headlight.. His stupid Jetta got a little scuff on the bumper. SMH

Here are the post-repair pics. I know a good body shop and was fully insured. Did get a nice new headlight (Made in Japan, Genuine). And had the body shop restore my driver side light and it looks new!

It looks good! At least you got a fresh new paint job on the front end for more miles of trouble free commuting.

We had our 06 TSX since new with only 2 door dings. We gave the car to our son for his 16th b-day in March/14 and it only took him two weeks before plowing into the someone at a stop light causing +$7000 worth of damage to the TSX. I now know why teenage boys have the highest insurance rates.

I was a teenager when I first got this car too lol.. Parents had it til 60K miles in 2006, I have had it since. Only got one scratch, and it was me hitting the car with a broom by accident while I was sweeping my garage lol. I am a really safe driver, I may speed sometimes, but I do it responsibly. In this situation, I wasn't even moving, it was heavy traffic.

My mom made me wait till I was 18 to even get my license! Driving for about 5 months now and no close calls thankfully. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I wrecked moms car, even after I buy it form her and have it in my name.

And yes, our insurance is crazy.

Stuff can be fixed, repairs look good and good color match. It could have been worse if your were not able to take the glancing blow.
