Exhaust??

I have a 2006 tsx and i want to get a new catback exhaust, i want the car to be loud but not a raspy or ricey loud, does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on something that wont break the bank? I heard skunk2 makes good exhaust notes but ive only seen videos, thanks

Hey Carlos,

If you're looking for something with a deeper rumble, without rasp, or drone the Tanabe Medalian Touring system is always a good option. It's made to be as straight and light as possible, all while maximizing flow and allowing for decent ground clearance with it's "slim-line" muffler. You can see it here: T70093 - Tanabe Medalian Exhaust - Medalion Touring - Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist

The Skunk2 Mega Power system will make some good noise as well! It will certainly be louder then the Tanabe, but it should come with a removable silencer encase you decide you're looking for a way to quiet it down. The Skunk2 systems tend to air on the rice-ier side of sound, but that's all preference! We also have the Skunk2 system on our site here: 413-05-2030 - Skunk2 Mega Power Exhaust System - Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist

PM me if you're looking for a quote, or if there is something else I can help you with.

Happy modding!

Doing the Hondata reflash for $295+shipping will help get the most out of the new exhaust by:
- lowering the iVtec down to 4850 rpms instead of 6000 rpms
- rev limit moved to 7600 rpms in SS mode on 5AT
- add hp/tq gains up the entire rev band
- you don't get that big drop of +20 hp/tq before iVtec kicks in before 6000 rpms (steady pull until fuel cut off)

I didn't do Hondata on my 06 TSX 5AT and left the engine stock (almost 140k on her now). I did reflashed Hondata on my 08 RDX and was the best bang for the buck mod for extra power with a side effect of improved mpgs.

Hey Carlos, not sure what kind of gains you would get, but have you thought about getting the exhausts and just removing the two silencers underneath? I purchased magnaflow exhausts and removed one of them and I love the sound. It's not ricey at all, it's a nice low rumble.
