Ok, so my friends gf has a lagoon blue VW (sorry it's actually blue lagoon) now, and is looking into getting a TSX. I sent him an link to an ABP TSX, and he says he hates that color because it's too "bright".

I know this being an Acura forum you may be biased, but I put a side by side comparison pic to show the differences or similarities. I told him I must be color blind because to me they look nearly identical.

I can see the difference. The VW is a slightly deeper blue with a hint of metallic.

If you search picture of the two colors and flip back and forth, the deeper tones of the VW color are more evident. It even shows a purplish cast in some situations, where ABP would never be mistaken for anything other than blue.

On the other hand, he's just justifying saying he hates ABP, because the overall difference is pretty small.

I mean yeah they are different, but it's not bright like the old electric blue Civic SI. Plus it's for his gf he should let her decide.

Also, he's looking for an 06-08 with under 70k miles and under $14k, there are 8 in the entire country on autotrader and 3 have salvage titles, but I found an 08 ABP with 55k miles with a clean carfax for $15k 19 miles from his house.
