My wash supplies should be here by next week so next weekend I am going to wash my pollen covered car and do a full detail. I still think this is your best bet is to switch from a hose and bucket needed to using a no-rinse car wash liquid and washing the car in your parking lot.

this may be a little far from falls church, but closer than manassas
http://www.sweetwatercarwash.com/
click on "splash n' go self serve"
It's in sterling, va near rt.28 & sterling blvd.
I usually go there for a quick rinse between washes and during the winter to rinse the salt off. It gets real busy at times, but not too bad. Bring lots of quarters-- 9 to start a 3 min. cycle and you can keep adding for more time. I use the high pressure soap/wax/rinse.
There is a Mr. Wash on Gallows rd. (off arlington blvd.) with self-wash bays, but I don't know if they work since the doors to each bay are closed. Never stopped to see if you pay and then the doors open up or whatever. You could check it out since that's probably the closest for you. I think the place used to be some other company but Mr. Wash took over. Perhaps they're not letting people use the self-wash bays.... I dunno.

I know its blasphemy around here, but I use the Sudz auto-wash on Rt 29 in Centerville. They do a nice interior, glass and wheel detail after the tunnel wash. Just wax it after to make everything groovy.

There's one at the gas station at Blake LN and Lee HWY in Fairfax City.

Also condominiums mostly have designated car washing areas. Morally you should not consider that last option, but I seen others do it.
