Computer Problem after Battery Recharged at Autozone

I have a 2007 TSX automatic. It was running fine until I came home from vacation and found that the battery was drained. So took it to a local Autozone and had it recharged for an hour. When I reinstalled the battery, the interiors lights came on and I thought it was a good sign.

I turned the ignition on and the car started right away. However, the Check Emission and VSA light both came on. It was quite strange to me because I've never seen those two lights on before but I thought it was just the computer re-reading the car after not having battery for awhile. Then the worst happened. When I put it into D, the car jerked to get into gear and the transmission won't engage with the engine. The car will only roll forward very slowly but nothing happens when I press the gas paddle. It does the same when I put it into R. The car jerks to get into gear but only roll backward.

I thought I was the battery problem so I went to Costco and picked up an Interstate battery. But the car is still doing the same even with the new battery. It shows the Emission Check and VSA light and the transmission won't engage with the engine. I tried to step on the gas when the car is on P. The engine will rev but it feels like it's struggling.

I suspect it is a computer problem. Did the recharged battery screw up the computer? Can you guy give me some advise before I tow it to the Dealership?

I was able to resolve the problem by resetting the ECU with the following steps. (Credit the steps to Luded in the other forum)

- turn off radio
- turn off Heater / A/C / fan
- turn key to acc on position (just before the engine turns over)
- Press gas pedal to the floor for 10 seconds
- turn key to off position do not remove key take foot off the gas pedal
- wait for 10 seconds and then start car

Everything is back to normal. I can drive the car now and the VSA lights is gone. The only light left is the Emission Check light. I'm going to get a OBD to see what code it is showing.

Here are Emission Check codes that came up on the OBD II Reader:

P2176 Throttle Actuator Control System - Idle Position not Learned
P2101 Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit Range / Performance

The car has no issues now so I deleted both codes.
Hope this will help somebody in the future.
