Hi All,

I have a 2005 TSX with close to 240K Miles on it. No major issues so far.

I got check engine and light and with my OBD Scanner is showing the code P0706.

It looks like i need to replace the Transmission Range Sensor.

Any one has experience changing it and also what's the exact part number.

I haven't done a TSX range switch but did on a MDX. Not too bad. Worked through the wheel weel w/ tire removed and jackstand support. Attached is procedure.

Part no is available on many web sites for Acura parts.

Thanks a lot.

I replaced the part and had to manually reset the check engine light after replacing the switch.

It's much easier than i thought.

I got the same Check Engine Light again.!!

Last time i got the part from autozone or advance auto parts.

Not sure why this part is failing so frequently. Planning to replace it again.

Did you try to realign the sensor? If it's not aligned properly it will give you a code.
The part has slotted holes for alignment purposes.
Review steps 7 through 9 of the attached procedure earlier in this thread.
