Hi All,

I was driving my TSX during the weekend and was at a stop light and when it turned green i didn't have any power (the cas was on and on pressing the accelerator it didn't move). Check engine light and battery light came on. And in few seconds they went off and car ran fine.

I moved the car to the side of the road turned it off and turned it on and the check engine light came on and won't go away.

Took it to a mechanic and he ran the OBD Code check and it came with P0683. And he cleared and mentioned it might be the alternator that i need to replace. He asked me come back as they are almost closed by the time i reached there.

Has any one had similar experience ??

My car has closed to 200K on it. It might be time to replace the alternator.I am planning to do it this week.

How ever the most important thing i am concerned is can i drive this car on major high ways till then ??

Glow plugs are on diesel cars, which obviously we don't have. Although it could be pointing to an ECM (ECU, computer) problem, which I'm pretty sure an alternator won't solve.
