Carbon greyers and or Quartzers

Can owners comment on Carbon grey exterior and/ or quartz interior in terms of cleaning. Is either tend to show a lot of dirt or take an unusual amount of effort to keep clean? Pros, cons, warnings? thanks

I have a CG, but I dunno what to compare to, since my last car ('88 Legend) was a similar color (a little darker, like charcoal). Water spots are pretty obvious, but dust/dirt isn't so bad.

Plus, the trees (I think) all over the parking lot at work drop hundreds of tiny spots of sap all over my car every day. And last night, I parked in a public lot while watching a movie at a small theater, and when I came back, there was a smudge on each window-- like someone had smushed his face against each. Damnit, you gawkers!

I have had any trouble keeping my quartz interior clean. The seats just don't show dirt. The only real trouble I have is with the black dash, which shows dust, and those nasty all season mats, which show footprints too easily. Otherwise, the color of the interior is nearly ideal.

The exterior doesn't show dirt as bad as I thought it would but the quartz interior does show scuff marks, etc, more than ebony does. No big deal, it wipes off easily.

Are the all seasons mats black or do they match the interior color?

They're black. They show every drop of dirt.

I also have CG with the all season mats. I agree with everything here. CG hides the dust and dirt very well, but all season mats show everything.

I don't regret installing the mats though because the original mats were starting to wear out after only 1500 miles.

I have both cg and quartz, and i love this combo. I also have the tit. silver trim, and w/the quartz, this is the best looking color possible, IMO.

The cg seem's to hold some dust/dirt away, but i also live in ARIZONA, possibly the dirtest and dustiest state in america!

i wash my baby useually 2 times a week, and it is a pain sometimes, BUT WELL WORTH IT! the cg grey looks soooo nice when it shines!

as far as the quartz int. goes......just the scuff marks so far, no dirt or anything yet......and hopefully not for awhile!

also, on a side note...i have a 3yr old Boxer and a 1yr old pit bull, and when i let them in my car, it is very easy to get the hair up....
althoguh, they hardly ever are allowed in my car! =]

Exterior shows water spots excessively. It hides dirt pretty well, though. I get compliments even when my car is dirty as heck.

The interior is great. No problems at all keeping it clean. Just try not to kick the doors. They'll get scuffed if you have black shoes.

After 5 months I still think my CG/Quartz is the best color combo.

As everyone has already said, it hides dirt/dust well. Sometimes I only notice how dirty it is when I brush against the trunk lid and it makes a little dust smudge.

The light colored floor mats can get a little dirty, but it's under control with the occasional use of carpet cleaner or stain remover.

If I had to come up with a complaint, I'd say it's the visibility of swirl marks on the paint. I'm using all the right towels, applicators and brushes, but swirl marks are occasionally visible to my VERY picky eye. Zaino Z2 polish does hide them well, however.

Does anyone think they the black carpeted floor mats from the ebony interior would look good w/ the quartz? Maybe it'll enhance the two-tone look and hide floor dirt better (and not look as utilitarian as the all season mats)...

Also, in case anyone with the ebony interior is looking here... Does wear show more apparently with the ebony interior? I was looking at some G35s this weekend, and as I was wondering around the service department, I looked in some Gs in the lot and every single black drivers seat was wrinkled with very prominent creases and wear -- they truly looked several years old. I wonder if Acura's ebony display wear as readily...

I really like that look! We have quite a bit of red dirt around here, and my Quartz mats are alreay kinda showing small stains. I'll probably pick up a set of black ones now.

I also notice that swirl marks stand out on my CG, too. I haven't looked at another color as closely, so I'm sure it's the same case with other dark shades.
