Don't quote me on the exact price but I think that MSRP for your car is around 41,700.00. You have been qouted an amazingly good price.

Thanks for starting the thread. I was going to start it once I negotiated my final price.

I still think the price is quite high, i am going to try to get him down to 37-38k for an auto.
I reaaaally doubt it, but who knows.

Anyone else wants to share how much they are paying?

Exactly!! Plus $1430 freight and PDI. I only asked where you live as I was going to suggest trying the dealer where I bought mine if you lived here. By the way, I never had to even ask for the discount and wish now I had negotiated a bit more. My wife was with me and she always gets embarrased when I start dickering so I just let it go.

Not quite the same situation as I got a 6MT non-nav, but:
MSRP is $35,900.
I got $1642 off, so $34,258 + freight/PDI.

Yarrr, the 14% tax hurts...

Looks like a good deal, isn't that around $3,000 below MSRP?

Despite what we all think of the TSX vs the competition, the fact is that we're moving into a slower time of the year, auto sales-wise, the TSX is now in it's third year, and there are three new "competitors" - BMW 323i ($35,000), VW Jetta Turbo ($29,000), VW Passat Turbo ($29,000) - on top of whatever else was already out there (A4, Volvo S40, Nissan Altima, G6). It's a buyer's market, and there are some nice cars out there.

Thanks all for the info, I'll try to use it well.

I'm sorry I was adding freight and PDI. MSRP is $40,000 for 06 auto with navi. with all of the stuff kicked in it is somewhere between 41,600 and 41,700. I haven't struck my final deal yet so I can't talk final dollars. I getting about $800 dollars off on the options and I hope a few dollars off the 06 increase in MSRP.

I'm still not getting the good deal you guys are. I don't have provincial tax so that helps, but that doesn't have anything to do with the dealer.

In the end, I hope to be somewhere between $1100 and $1300 off, but Tintin it is like your getting an additional $1400 off. I stand by what I originally said. Your getting a great deal.

if you want, i can get you this deal np.
39k for 2006 TSX auto with nav
45k for 2006 TL auto with nav.
He gave me the TL price too by accident so i thought i would share that as well.

I think i might get a manual trans to save the 1k. (i hope i dont regret it in our crazy MTL traffic)

How could you get me this deal with you in MTL and me in EDM?

I save likely $2,800 in taxes here versus Quebec. Although my final price may not be as great, I ultimately still come out ahead in the final overall price. However not doubting your deal, but if it is true, I need to be a lot tougher in the final negotiations.

(I thought long and hard the MT vs the AT. I loved the MT and I could save some bucks, but ultimately the reality of my daily driving sold me on the AT.)

Hopefully it's in tomorrow or else I'll have to look at another car cuz I need this before the end of the week.

What would the MSRP be for that? Wish they'd get our web site updated.

I always get a hat and mugs. I noticed this year the mugs are plastic, previously they were always stainless steel.

That bothers me too, how www.acura.ca has still not updated the TSX!

Anyhow, anyone else in .ca wanna share their experience?!

(Found a CG 05 TSX manual/nav for 35k, but i am thinking of dishing out 4k for a brand new one with the extra feat)

Well, it comes down to "are the extra features worth the extra cost"? Hands down, yes. The extra power, integrated fogs, aux in, and bluetooth covers that extra cost nicely.

And according to my salesman, Canada's official release date was supposed to be in mid-December anyway, and they just showed up at the dealerships in November. Take that with a grain of salt, but I'm glad it wasn't. Assuming mid-Dec was the actual date, it would make sense that Acura.ca isn't updated yet. Especially with all the fanfare surrounding the CSX intro.

But still, that doesn't mean I don't want an updated website. Do any Canadians have an 06 TSX brochure yet? We still don't have any here.

To my knowledge it is still in Vancouver waiting the last eleven days for a truck to haul it to Calgary and then to Edmonton. 12 freeking hours away and after 11 days no movement. Sometimes I'm patient saying that it will get here when it gets here and sometimes I'm royally ticked off.

If it wasn't such a great car I would have taken my down payment and gone elsewhere. If they aren't willing to deal when we do the final sit down, I may be ticked off enough to do it. I was patient today and didn't call them but it is starting to get past ridiculous. It's taking a lot of the fun out of buying it. To be honest I expected more from Acura.

I think we should start a poll. How many posts I can make prior to receiving my TSX?

Hey, Excited, I'm serious about you and others taking a trip over to the a BMW dealer for a look at the 323i, so that you can look your Acura salesguy in the eye and cut a better deal. The 323i list price is about $300 more than a TSX (after adding some paint), but it does give you 4 years of free maintenance (what's that worth, $1500? $2000?), and parts/labour is NOT unreasonable compared to my experience with years of Honda ownership. OK the run-flat tire idea is an expensive dud, but you're allowed to use some smoke and mirrors during negotiations, too.

I'm not sure if I'm embarrassed or insulted by the fact that our web site isn't updated. Embarrassed if we can't get our act together or insulted that Acura doesn't think that we are worth it.

When I am in a better frame of mind I will try and organize our purchase prizes by model for easier comparison. Sometimes it will not be simple as in my case my savings are so far in the options and not off the MSRP.

FYI - I was looking at the BMW website this evening at the 325i or simply blow the budget and get the 330i.

If my TSX hasn't moved by Friday, Friday night I will tell you how my visit to the BMW dealer went. I want the TSX but maybe Acura doesn't want me.

By the way I haven't been in a grinch like mood all day. I dressed up as Santa today at the office and handed out homemade fudge made by Mr. Claus, homemade cookies made by Mrs. Claus and candy canes to raise awareness of our toy and food drive. It had an immediate response and I think we will make a difference on Christmas day for a few people.

Ho, Ho, Ho Merry Christmas and may all of your TSX's arrive before Christmas. (Including Santa's)

What a difference five minutes makes

I don't know if it was the positive Merry Christmas thoughts but what a difference 5 minutes makes. I leave the computer to greet my daughter at the door and there on the stairway was a parcel. My sabersport M3 style spoiler arrived earlier in the day and my dear wife forgot to tell me. It looks great and I will take to the bodyshop hopefully on Wednesday.

Then she said by the way did the Acura dealer talk to you. I said no. She said that he called and she gave him my work and cell number. He had left my a message on my cell which basically says that my TSX should arrive Calgary today or tomorrow and should be in Edmonton by Wednesday or Thursday. By the weekend I will be hopefully driving my TSX.

I take back all the BMW things I said, (I'm not a beamer kind of guy anyways) and I take back most of what I said about Acura. I guess they love me afterall.

They seem to be a rare commodity. I got frustrated waiting for a brochure so I called the Canadian Acura Client Services 1-888-922-8729 and they sent me a brochure right away and they said I should get it in a week or so. (who knows when I'll actually get it though)

A bmw with the similar features that the TSX has will cost an extra 10kish.
yah, you can get a 323i for the same price as a TSX, but the beemer stock is so ugly!

You're going to have one seriously fun weekend if they get it prepped in time!

Edit: Excited, you're going to have to start PWing like crazy if you're going to hit that magical 500 mark before your car arrives.

I get mine tomorrow... hopefully!

I've got other plans hinging on it and I was supposed to be done the new car thing at the end of Nov. It's mid-dec, this is getting ridiculous. If it's not here tomorrow then I'm going to my backup plan, the 325i with shit for features! Still, I can then move ahead with my plans...

... but the start button of the bema?! Pure sex... I like pushing sexy girls' buttons heh.

As the Can $ rises (supposedly to 0.90, purchasing cars in the USA is going to take off. Both Acura and Lexus have stuck it to Canadians using terrible exchange rates. A tsx with auto can be had for 26-27US, and at current exchange rates, we would save thousands buying there. Plus, auto is free, and dealer prep etc is half the price.

You raise an excellent point, however the question remains: Would we be saving money if we bought the car in .us and drove it in Canada? Remember, we have to pay duty!

I have my sticker in my desk at home. I could take a picture, but it has the MSRP listed as "TBD".
