The 2006 TSX has bad gas mileage.

i just wanted to point out that you do not need to have premium gas to achieve a better mpg. I've been running with regular unleaded here in Atlanta where you are lucky just to get any type of gas. I still get at least 34mpg. So you don't have to worry about regular gas being bad for your car like some other people said so in other threads.

Make a hole, coming thru!
As has been discussed over and over and over again, driving style can effect mileage. Use of the high RPMs or sport shift mode regularly will drop mileage drastically. So will driving consistently in the city, which I do when my daughter visits.
If you search www.FuelEconomy.gov, you can find what other TSX drivers are reporting. I've been tracking since April, 2008, and my overall average is 27 MPG. I've had single fill-ups where my MPG for the tank was 33 MPG, but the average over a roughly 12 month period has been pretty stable at 27.5MPG.

If you're getting 23 on the highway, there's something wrong, or your going 95 mph. I stayed around 70 for a tank and got 34.3 mpg. I get better than 23 around town, and would have to v-tec every chance I got to drop it to 17. My average over the last few thousand miles is about 28. I'd have to suggest checking your O2 sensors and things of that nature. You've got to have a problem somewhere.

Try a different dealer. 23 MPG on the highway is just WRONG. You might as well leave the car garaged and just burn $20 bills with a lighter. (jk)

Gas mileage shot through the roof in a matter of 5 minutes
So my 2006 TSX somehow went from 18.8mpg to 22.8mph in a matter of 8 minutes of driving, whenever I got home after dropping my brother off(more of letting him drive to work) I let it idle for 2 minutes and it went from 22.8 mpg to 22.6 in those 2 minutes of idling, is this a good sign or bad sign.
