2004 - 2005 TSX Acceleration issue!!
maybe im just tripping but ive searched forums all across the net and can't find an answer so here we are!!!
I have a 2004 tsx (old guy owned before i bought it ) 176k, all routine maintenance done religiously. she runs great however ive noticed on the freeway if im going lets say 80mph and i try to speed up beyond that or even switch to manual mode(automatic tsx) and down shift to 4th, when i give it full or close to full throttle my rpm's rise to 4000 and then i dont feel as much pull or acceleration if any at all..? car runs great besides that. doesn't sound like fuel is not being delivered. also, when in park or neutral, if i give it a quick rev, RPM's rise, DROPS BELOW WHAT IT IDLES AT, then goes back to its regular rpm..?? please help. could it be throttle body or intake/injectors? could it be an exhaust leak? could i just be tripping and forgetting im in an all stock automatic 2.4 liter tsx? any help will be appreciated

What is it slow in comparison to?
Is the air filter clean? OEM spark plugs that are in good shape? Check and change them if you're not sure.
If there was a fuel delivery or throttle body problem, the ECU would set a CEL.
Its normal for the RPM to dip slightly and then stabilize after you rev it. Every car does it. You're noticing it now because you're paying too much attention to it.
