07 vs 09 TSX

So I got 07 TSX (6 MT premium) with 61K on it at my local dealership. It was around $30000 with tax and everything. And I checked the site out again couple days ago. And figured i could have gotten a brand new 09 tsx for $8000 more. I have 2 days to return the car and add the $8000 for a new one. I personally love my 07 and dont really like the look of the second gen. but the deal is really tempting when they give $3000 incentive.
oh btw, i am from Canada. Price in Canadian and mileage in kilometers.
any opinion would be useful.

Holy crap, during your whole post I was hoping you were in Canada, otherwise you severely overpaid. LOL

Get what you like.

I personally like the 2G as well as the 1G.

I'm with Luv on this one. The 1G vs 2G is really a personal preference. They're both great cars. I had a 2G for a few days as a loaner while mine was having the 18k service done. It is a slightly larger car. It does a (tiny) bit more low end torque, but it drops off at the higher RPM range. The 1G does not. The 2G has a softer suspension, but I prefer the better handling of the 1G. The 2G has electric power steering, whereas the 1G has hydraulic. The steering is heavier, but you get more feedback from the road through the wheel.

I could go on and on about the differences between the two, but it really boils down to personal preference. Go to the dealer and test drive the 2G. If possible, drive it on roads you take often so you can really get a feel for what its going to be like to live with it.

$8K more and you don't really like the look? I'd say that answers your question. For me, spending 2 hrs a day in my car, I want to love driving it every day. The car I had before was one where I like the idea of it, and I liked the deal I got, but after 4 years I'd had enough. I just didn't enjoy getting into it every morning. Almost 3 years and counting on my 06 and I still love it like the day I took it home.

So that said, it would be a shame to drop the extra $8K on a car that you don't love getting into each day, and wind up swapping it out anyway. I guess if it were me, I'd give myself permission to get a $1K present for the 07 (upgrade the suspension, spoiler, front/side spoilers, etc.) and count myself lucky to still have a car I love and an extra $7K in the bank.

I test drove both and loved both. The only reason I went with the 07 is I didn't like the new front look of the 2nd gen and I thought it was 10000 more which would empty my toy money.
Yea I am pretty happy with my 07 interior is like new. 61k is really nothing for a acura. Thanks guy. I can go to sleep tonight haha

Honda/Acura usually does a good job of building a fairly bullet proof car by the mid mode makeover (06-08 TSX). The 09 TSX is still in its 1st model year blues. I don’t think you gain much with a 09 other than larger dimensions and slightly different styling.

Would you be close to a used 09 TL with the extra $8000?
