06 TSX DOES have auto-locking doors after car is shifted from Park

I know it was discussed in another thread about the debate regarding if the 06 TSX offered this feature, and it DOES!!! I quote my Acura Style magazine, Winter 2006. pg 62. Ask the Experts column.

"Q. We've greatly enjoyed our 2004 MDX (one of three Acuras in our garage), but I'm surprised that Acura did not include a way to automatically lock all doors whenever the car is shifted out of park. I've seen this feature on a number of other vehicles and thought it was a nice idea -- it can keep potential carjackers out and kids in. ~Steve Read Houston, TX"

"A. We agree, and have been adding this feature to our new models equipped with Keyless Access Systems. You will find it on the 2004-2006 TL, the 2005-2006 RL, and the 2006 TSX as one of a number of other customized settings that an owner can turn on or off according to preference."

I searched and didnt seem to read anywhere on if anyone could agree if it was offered by Acura on the TSX, so thought I would share.

Thanks,
Sean

:shakehead As an owner of a 2006 TSX, I can assure you that this is not a feature on the car. I have gone through the menus pretty extensively and have not seen this feature. It also is not mentioned in the manual. So unless someone can produce the documentation to demonstrate this feature, I am going to have to respectfully disagree with whoever produced that response.

That is odd. Do you have Auto or Manual? Maybe that has something to do with it.

Another good point..... Acura marketing was wrong on the RSX. For the longest time they said the RSX rear wiper was intermittent, which it isnt. I even wrote them and pointed out that their website was mistaken. I received a reply that they would investigate yet never edited their website. GRRRR!!!!

keyless access system
That's the key phrase. The only car with Acura's Keyless Access System is the RL, and it does have auto-locking doors. Keyless Access and Keyless entry are two entirely different systems.

Just a mistake in the magazine.

I also have an 06 TSX and I haven't heard anything about the doors locking automatically. If this is possible, how is it done?

I removed "Confirmed:" from the thread title since it appears this standard feature does not exist.

How much is it for remote start? Did you buy an alarm or did you just the remote start added to the factory alarm?
