04 TSX AT Gas Mileage Down
Hey. My gas mileage has dropped about 10% since the Summer. I regularly got 25 mpg in mixed driving and over 30 on the HW. Over the Summer, I put 4 new Bridgestone Pole Positions on the car and changed the AT fluid. The stock Michs lasted for 70K miles! The new tires definitely have more grip but are they costing me gas $? Anybody have a similar experience. Now that it is Winter here in Cincinnati, we are running on reformulated gas so the mpg compare is harder.

I have the same tires and went down a couple mpg as well. Also in winter, ethanol is added to gas, which also brings down your mpg. I'm getting around 23 mpg in "suburban" driving now, and in the warmer months I get more like 24-25 in the same type of driving. Last tank I got 22.9.

Summer tires can definitely cost you a couple MPG. I would double check that you are running the proper pressure. If the the tires aren't rated at 93 like the stock michelins you will probably want to run pressure a few PSI higher than the stock ratings on your b-pillar to compensate.
If they did a 4 wheel alignment and adjusted things like camber/castor that could also cost you some rolling effeciency.

I took a hit when I switched to a set of performance tires. Even when maintaining a more leisurely pace, I can't acheive the 24-26 MPG I used to get on the same route. I average 22-24 now.

I got less than 20 on the last tank.
I've been getting stuck behind idiots going 15 under the speed limit every time the road is just wet. I think that's been really killing me fuel economy. Damn all these old ass bastards, why won't they die already?

I agree with checking the tire pressure, a couple of PSI difference and you'll notice it on MPG. Winter makes a difference aswell, colder temps combined with "winter gas" = lower MPG
