*Warning* Downtown Acura in Toronto *Warning*
Do not buy or service your car at Downtown Acura in Toronto Canada. I got my heated seat bulb replace and they ended up denting my interior. The service manager said "the marks were'nt caused by them, they don't look fresh".
Service your car else where if you live in Toronto, these guys don't know what they are doing. Do a google search and you will see a page about the horrible experience anther person had. This person hosted the site for many years now to warn people, I should have known.

That really sucks.
Go to Acura in Markham but they are a little pricey.
I don't know about you guys but for the next service I am thinking of going to a Honda dealership (Markham Honda), labour rate is much cheaper and service is really good. Car feels new after an oil change from there.

I've had poor experiences with Acura 2000 also, nothing seriously horrible I just don’t like the way I am treated when I am there. If I had the option I would also go to Acura in Markham great dealer very reputable. Every time I am with my buddy and we go to get his TL or MDX serviced the sales and service departments are very outgoing and friendly not to mention knowledgeable. Not like Acura 2000 where some of the salespersons can’t even distinguish the 2007 TL from the ASPEC model “ASPEC huh?, let me go ask my manager”. All and all being 19 I think has a lot to do with it, I personally get the Acura vehicles in my family serviced from Acura 2000, and to be honest they treat me like a kid.
Downtown Acura where my family purchased are 2004 MDX from, was a great experience, very friendly and kind. I have never got the vehcile serviced from there though since Acura 2000 is literally five minutes away from my house.

I've never had a problem with Acura 2000 yet... although I'm not 19 so I can see how that might play against you in a more 'upscale' dealership... it's their loss for treating you like that...
I personally don't like Acura Sherway because it's damn near impossible to get an appointment and they never call you back when they say they're going to... the upside is you can drive you car INTO the dealership when you do get there for service no parking outside and then walking in... you drive up to the person who books your appointment... but that only goes so far.
But till then I'm stuck with Acura 2000...

Kinda makes me glad my warranty is almost up so I don't have to deal with dealerships. I've never trusted them. My ma has paid through the nose for her 'regular scheduled tune-ups' on her 03 Accord. And let me tell you the dealership is sure on the ball calling her to remind her about the tune-ups.
I purchased a 3rd party extended warranty that is honored through my regular mechanic whom I trust completely

GTSX-05 don't worry I some time get treated like a kid too and i'm 22, this is why I stopped taking my car other places, Acura Markham seems to understand that it's possible for young people to afford these cars now a days and respects that. Both Myself 22yro (05 TL 6SDP Navi) and my brother 26yro (07 TL-S) continue to get our service there because we are treated well and honestly. They broke the center speaker grill in my bros car trying to fix a rattle and owned right up to it.

This is one of many reasons I decided to ditch paying those idiots money for jobs that I could do better than they could. Only when you get burned by them so many times you realize if these idiots can repair cars, why can't I?

Acura in Markham is where I take my car to get all the things done, they do a really good job, and their customer service is very good. I usually go with Tony or Mario, who are two of the service reps. They're extremely helpful, and every time you fill in one of those online surveys to rate their service, they actually call you back and discuss it with you, which I think is awesome.
That, and Acura in Markham is 5 minutes away from my house!

Please read this page about Downtown Acura. The person hosting his site kept it running to warn us about this stealership. They damage my car, bought my car from them, took it back to get my heated seat button bulb replace, they ended up damaging my interior. They tried to fix it up but still look like crap. This is my first car and I love it, that is why it pisses me off so bad.
Acura is a luxury brand and I expect total care when working on our car, this is unacceptable. Pics coming, waiting for weather to warm up a bit here in Toronto.

He should have taken the dealership to small claims court. It would cost their lawyers the cost of the repair in fees just to show up even if he ended up loosing. I think he has a good case and if anything may get the repair done if the dealership was served.
Again I had too many similar situations, although not as damaging as this, and realized I could do the work better than these muppets with no education.

I'm 27 and get treated like a "kid"...I recently went to an Acura dealership and they insisted on negotiating by monthly payment even though I told them I wanted to negotiate base price.
The scam: $559/month for 60 months for an 08 non-navi TSX, 2.9% finance rate. That's close to $34k.

It's funny how people like Acura Markham...
1. They tried to rip us off on when we purchased the TSX; like they shown us the final price, while the lease payment has increased un-reasonably. We end up sending letters to Honda Canada/America, and bargain with the Business/Sales Manager, our lease payment cut by $58/month?? WTF.
2. They dented (or should I use another word cause there's a hole on it) my rear bumper on the date that we pick up the NEW car, and they denied to fix it. They end up replacing it (that's what they said) after more argument.
Never go back there again.

Once in a while I think about the Stressed Downtown Acura put me through. It makes me angry. The TSX is my first car and I can still see the scars in the interior.

I had the very bad service in Calgary SilverHill Acura before.

You should contact Acura Relations 1-888-922-8729 (Canada).
I think the dealership cares about the numbers of the complains, especially at the last quarter. When I asked for one of the manager at the SilverHill Acura, he asked me first "did you called acura?" and he looked angry.

Old thread resurrection!
I have been servicing my 2007 TL at Downtown Acura for 2 years. They once damaged my wheels, while driving it after a transmission fluid change. I always take photos of the car before handling the keys, so I had proof. They ended getting them restored but, of course, I had made a really good case, and they could not deny it. Every time I'm there it never feels like an upscale dealership, and I don't get the impression that they really take care of the cars. After servicing there, I frequently see new minor scratches, but I can't prove it was them. After yesterday's overcharge (granted a minor one $5-10), due to their inability to understand instructions, I think I'm done with them. I used them because they are conveniently located for me, but is not worth it. I've had the last straw, and I don't think I can trust their service department ever. I will have to go back to Erin Mills Acura where I got my car, and whose customer service is far superior, let alone their facilities.

Wow that's good to know about D-Town Acura. I've bought both my Acura's from Acura on Brant in Burlington and have never had any issues with their service and sales. Service manager there is pretty easy going. Hoping it stays that way.
