I would think it would rub. I think with a 8" wide wheel you will need to go +50 on the offset. Not sure though, but I do know when I had my CL-S rim with 235/45/17's and dropped with Eibach Pro kit it did rub when I had someone in the back seat and went over a bump or dip. And the CL-S rims are only 7" wide and +55 offset.

I think that 8" may be too wide. I have 17x7 +42 offset and im not lowered and get a very slight rub sometimes when takin a turn and having someone in the back. But i am using 225-50s and the tires bow over the rims like a "rash protector" so i think that has an affect on my rub issue. But I think that 8" is to wide regardless of tires and offset.

I have 18X8 45 offset with 225/40/18 NOT dropped doesn't rub. Has rubbed twice in three years over one particularly bad bump. Will rub if lowered though, can guarantee that.

I'm still on the prowl for rims too. I've backed off of the CL-S rim idea. I used to like them but now I'm thinking 18's.

Anyway, I know it's all about what I like, but what do you guys think would work for a black car? I like gunmetal rims. They look wicked standing alone (in photographs) but would it be too dark on a black car?

do you have a 3.2, wackjum? Im guessing you do since you were considering the cl-s. There are PLENTY of styles to choose from for the 3.2... I would personally go all out and get 18 chromie chromes

Yup, 3.2. I don't know what I want anymore TLBaller. I settle on a new style every other day. However, I just can't see myself with chromies. No slight to anybody. My dad has a Navigator with big chromies and I feel like P. Diddy everytime I'm in it.

You know, I just now realized there's a special subthread for wheels and such. Sorry Ken and Mike and all of the other Moderators we have now. I didn't see it.
