Guess I don't drive my TL much...it's a 2004 and hasn't hit 7000 yet. 6900 or so! I love the car, but it's my baby and never see's rain or snow. Probably the only 2004 Tl that has never had the windshield wipers used in rain or had any rain hit the underbody. The car is "immaculate" showroom condition. I love this car. No rattles or any problems so far either.

I agree. We've made it to 100k changing out just a starter for un-scheduled maintenance.

Keep the oil and trans fluid fresh, timing belts changed and good tires on 'em and they'll go forever.

Guys, I hate to brag, but I traded a 1993 Legend LL with 263,000 five years ago for a 1997 RL Premium that now has 327,000 on it and is still going strong. My daughter is now driving it. The Legend had 48,000 when I bought it and the RL had around 43,000 when I bought it.

I am now the proud owner of a 2002 Midnight Black Pearl RL with parchment interior.

Needless to say, I know through experience what works and don't look to change my luck anytime soon. Light a previous thread said, do the timing belts, change the oil at 5,000, and take care of small things before they become big things. If you do, you will find NO other brand of vehicle that will outlast the Acura.

I'm out,

FFD

The 1st Gen RL has many common components with the 3.2 TL, so its interesting to read that

'96 3.2 Premium

114,000 miles after sitting for almost two years after a ski accident. (In the shop now for a leaking ABS accumulator (almost $600!!!) causing ABS warning led to come on.) Will pick up today and start adding more miles. Needed a new security module (also half a grand!!!) at around 90K - caused locks to unlock randomly, or lock-unlock in heat of the day. But you've just gotta' love the performance!
