^ooo is that rite lo.. i havent pushed my car that far cuz i dont really drive it that much.. lol... and the the freeway i got on is a little crowed when i usually drive on it.. but dang am try that when i have a chance tho bro.... lol...

why wouldnt the 3.2 1st gen do 140? is there a speed limiter?
130ish sounds more like an f22 accord motor from the mid 90's.. not a vtec v6 motor...

i guess i gave the 1st gen too much credit... i stand corrected..
but the power and aero doesnt add up.. as i said.. my 140 hp accord easily surpassed 120+ and closer to 150 with the h22
maybe its gearing?

It's very much possible that a lighter, more aerodynamic accord with a manual transmission would be faster than a 11-13 year old TL.

I'm not upset, but it's just that the 1st gen isn't a fast car. 200HP is not that much in a 1600kg car. And you have to remember that our cars are at least 11 years old now, and therefore don't put down the same 200hp that they used to when they were new. Secondly our cars have really shitty 4 speed auto transmissions.

I remember hitting either close to 130 or slightly above... I forget. All I know is I was racing back from Sacramento against my boy in his 3rd gen TL type-S. He accelerated faster, but he topped out before I did and so I kept passing him up. I was hitting like 130-something and then my limiter kicked in and I dropped down to 120-something... I have this theory as long as you don't top out your RPMs, you can keep on a higher topped-out mph. I need a chip.

I hit 130mph on the highway just to see what it would to but it could have went a little faster I think. Only did that once though, a tl is not made for racing from the factory. But Ive gone over 170mph on my motorcycle which IS made for racing!

This is a very big undertaking to do a website like that. I'm just saying that if you want to make something like this, work your way up. Start with simple websites and add functionality afterwards. This is not a 5 hour website.

I have topped my tl out at 145 mph three or four times with it being able to still keep going it feels like but I never want to really push my motor any harder then I already am. A car will always be how well it was maintained my motor and tranmission surpass my expectations and requirements aint nothing mods would help.
