There's air in the system. Burp the radiator by starting the cold car with the bleeder valve open and the radiator cap off. Let the car idle with the heat on blast at 90*. keep the coolant level in the rad above the neck and add coolant as the bubbles come out. Massaging the hoses helps. Do this until the thermostat opens and the lower radiator hose gets hot. Cap the radiator and keep the valve open until a steady stream of coolant is coming out. Tighten, and add coolant to the overflow if necessary.

Not to pick on Canadians, but most can't drive here for shit!!! I've lived in Toronto for the past three years (work), moved here from Pittsburgh and before that NY. I was paying 200 bucks liability for 6 months with Geico in Pittsburgh. Same car I'm paying 200 bucks a month in Toronto. Mainly due to number of claims people make!! This is reinforced when you see people who drive here. No damn common sense. People just follow the person in front like zombies when there's a free open lane on the right side!! Please tell me I'm not alone when I say this!
Sorry VIP nothing personal. Just my opinion.
