The TL is gone!!!

Sold our 1997 TL Premium today for $2700. Paid $1500 for it in January 2013 so we had it for a little over a year. I replaced a starter (warrantied), an axle, and tires in that time so we came out a little bit ahead. What we needed was a commuter car to soak up some miles that runs on regular gas. She bought a 2014 Kia Rio LX. Wouldn't have been my first choice but the Acura was her car and that's what the Rio is replacing. 5 year 60000 mile overall warranty, 10 year powertrain warranty so I guess it will work. I've enjoyed my time here at AcuraZine and will check in from time to time.

Aw, that's too bad she replaced her Acura. People keep telling me to replace mine, but I'm not ready to part ways yet. In fact, I just joined AcuraZine yesterday to see if the people here would side with me or against me keeping my car (needs timing belt, water pump, exhaust, and just last week blew a spark plug into a cylinder, which was fixed, plus had a fender bender last November, ugh). So far the vote is in favor of keeping the car.

It's strange…cars usually depreciate in value, yes? HP11 made a profit. Now, I know I got a fine automobile!

We got a good deal when we bought it and in fairly good condition with fairly low mileage, 79000. It only had 91000 when we sold it. I made the handful of repairs it needed so it was in excellent condition when we sold it. It was my wife's car and she just wanted something newer and more economical. If it were mine, I'd likely still have it. I don't mind tinkering with cars but I already have two to take care of.

Was it sold on CL? I've been looking since I right before I went back Stateside and I haven't seen anything worthwhile...

At that price from you I probably would've bought it on the spot.

~Cheers~

I bought it on CL but when I sold it, I just put 'for sale' signs on. We got a few calls. It ended up being someone that shops at the grocery store we go to that bought it. Only took a week.
