I use an HP Laptop, its superior to all the macbooks that are out right now in every aspect.
17inch screen
2gigs of ram
7600 256mb video card
200gig hdd's
intel core duo centrino processor T2500
I also use the only PCMCIA sound card that was built for 7.1 surround sound and it only works on windows.
(and i paid about 1k less than the price of a macbook pro)
so not all DJ's use macs. But the people that normally do use macs, use macs because they are built for 3 things. audio, imaging and video, THATS IT.
I play everything, pop, rap, hip-hop, dance, latin, arabic, punjabi, rock, classic rock, 80's, 90's.... the more you know, the more you get.
also the program i use only runs on windows (virtual dj)

I used to use a platform top, no way in hell you'd want these on your lap, 
: 2 Technics M3Ds, 2 CDJ-1000s, and I forgot what the hell my mixer was, hehe. Once in awhile, I'd hook up my phone to it, too.

i have some really old but good numark mixer... just to control the channels.
some piece of shit american audio cd players (that i never use).
my whole show is basically ran off the laptop, and i absolutely LOVE it

2. 1 punch 260a2
3. 1 Solobaric L5 12"
4. 1 carputer (I see you Kam)
5. Stock speakers (will order some mbquarts once I find a good deal)
The carputer does wonders for the sound.

where did u get that screen from and is there a software that you loaded up to achieve that or somn, please let me know, i would have placed that where the radio is to give it a kinda stock look, but thats just me though, nice, i mean superb modification, i like the screen layout, i would like to be able to achieve such a layout
