Planning to sell the TL soon. Any suggestions?

Love my TL but I think its time to sell her. I have a 98' 3.2 with 85000 and I want to sell it before 90k so I don't have to fork in money for the major tuneup. Another reason why I want to sell it is because it kills too much gas. I get only about 240 miles per tank (16-17mpg). Factoring the gas and tuneup costs, I think it would be better to get another car. Now I'm decided on which car to get next. These are the ones I have in mind right now. Let me know what you guys think is better or if I should get a different car.
02-03 TL type s
02-03 Audi A4
03 Infiniti G35c (don't know if it will meet my budget though)
01-03 Lexus IS300
01 BMW 330ci (I hear bmw's have alot of problems when they get older though)

Ya I like the 02-03 Type S. That's one car I was lookin at, but I decided to keep my TL longer. But those are all good choices. Ya BMW expensive to maintain, the Type S, unfortunately has big probs with the tranny.

Add a Maxima to that list.

5 speed manual, good on gas, especially on the freeway. Preferably a late 90's model. I despise the newer ones.

with the choices above, id go with either acura or lexus. my friends sister has the 03 audi a4 and its breaking down right now and she is a car freak so she tried her best to keep it running good.

get the 04 TL w/o nav and you can prob get it for bout $32,000. Neg. price then sell your tl and then pick up new tl same weekend. If you get $7,000 or more for your tl, then put it all down. @ 5% interest you probobly are talking about $450 a month. worth it for new tl

I don't really like the looks of the new TL. Still like the 2nd gen models better. Plus, I don't really want to spend 30k plus on a car cause I'm still in college. KBB value for my car is about $11500 so hopefully I'll get at least $10k back and fork out another $12k or so to buy another car. So, after hearing everyones opinion, I guess its between a type s or is300. I got alot of parts to sell off too (jdm taillights, chrome type s rims, clear front bumpers etc...) so I'll let you guys know when I'm ready to sell.

I really don't like paying so much for the Toyota Altezza. It's a nice little car but its been so eclipsed by the new stuff out there.

SELLING!!!??? ... because of a tune up and low gas milage??? OMFG!!! LOL...

1. New spark plugs - $5.99 for the good Spitfire 3 Platinum Spark Plug or
$2.49 for the average Autolite Platinum Spark Plug... Each of course... Multiply price by 5 for 2.5TL and by 6 for the 3.2 TL...

2. New spark plug wires - about $60.00 or so...

3. Air Filter - STP $11.99 FRAM $13.99

4. Fuel Filter - Deutsch Fuel Filter $19.99

5. CHAMP PCV Valve - $3.99

6. Oil Change - $50.00 w/ additives $60.00

Total cost for Tune up using the high prices for high quality stuff... $200.00 to $210.00

7. Keeping your TL and enjoying it for 30,000 to 100,000 more miles like i have... PRICELESS!!!

I just had to say #7... oh... and the tune up, it will increase your gas Mileage... lol besides you don't have to change the timeing belt until the car has 120,000 to 130,000 miles on it, according the the Dealership... either way... have fun and good luck on buying a new car... Post pics...

Spooky...you still have ALOT to learn about TL's. Don't have to change timing belt till 120-130k?! What have you been smoking? I hope you don't really believe that and find out the hard way when your belt snaps on you.

Already hit 170,000 miles... and my car is still running like new... still given the mileage my TL has... yuuup... its time to change my timeing belt... ***cough10,000milesmore...cough*** lol... oh and remember... i wasn't the one that said that about the Timing belt... I called the dealer, since i don't have the manual, about 40,000 miles ago and they told me it should be changed and that i had to pay an estimate of about $1000 to $2000 dollars which includes labor... Then again they said "should". I think its time for me to agree... I should go and change Everything...

A good detail in and out is in order... Engine etc...
