Hi all,

I am new here. Love to wrench on my own vehicles. Came to the forum to help a friend out.

He has a 1999 TL 3.2 The transmission sometimes fails to shift out of first.
Sometimes the transmission gives a hard down and up-shift.
It also sometimes fails to go from drive-neutral-reverse (such as when parallel parking)

I am wanting to know if anyone can verify that the model name of the transmission is the B7VA

Also, we are in the process of doing a 3x3 Flush. We just finished the first 3 qt change, he is going to drive it this week and we're going to flush it again on saturday.

On saturday, we might do the other 6qts at the same time, IF i can find enough info about the next problem:

Does anyone have access to a e-book of the Acura/Honda Factory Service Manual? If not, any service manual, Haynes or Chilton would be helpful.

I am wanting to blow out the filters on his linear and shift solenoid assemblies, as was suggested by an Acura owner on youtube. He has a 5-spd TL tranny, but I can see some shift assemblies on the parts fiche for this vehicle, that I can find, a real service manual would be very helpful though.

If anyone can help say whether the manuals are available, provide me with a link to one, or, whether cleaning the shift solenoids filters out will help him with the transmission shift issues, that would be immensely helpful.

This isn't the right section of the forum for this. You need to be asking in the 2nd gen section. The first gen cars have a totally different trans.
