alright, well im getting ready to dump another 5 or so thousand into this pile of shit and finish it.

As far as plans

-paint(house of kolor midnight blue pearl)
-new rear tires (may need to go to a 235 35 19 fk452)
-install lower control arms(been sitting on my shelf for like a year?)
-5 inch rear outer barrels(lips) instead of 3.5's
-fix interior (either get entire charcoal interior or customize what i have)



I am considering having the seats recovered with black suede or something like that alcantra that the audi s models use in the centers and tan on the sides and rest of the seats. Then having matching black suede/alcantra inserts put into the doors where they have leather from the factory. Also probably have my steering wheel center anodized black instead of being polished.


I found an entire charcoal interior out of a low milage 98 in new york... Waiting on a price(what the charcoal looks like below)


Personally, i think the charcoal would look the best and probably cost the least. Sadly enough i see this car being shot for a magazine, and sold. Now comes the difficult time of choosing a price. I wanted to build another turbocharged civic street car, but ive rethought those ideas, and sold a lot of the parts.

I think im going to end up getting a 2004 black on black cobra mustang. road race suspension, and believe it or not, prolly get another set of works. This time i want like 18x12 0 offset rears, 18x9.5 17mm offset fronts. Centers of wheels wrinkle black finish like a gsr integra valve cover. Then the lips anodized clear black. Far as the car goes, take the blower off it, sell it on ebay, and put custom manifolds, a sheet metal intake manifold, and two garrett gt35r's on it.

I figure if i can finish this tl, sell it, and paint my accord, install the body kit onto it, throw a set of 98 nsx wheels on it, and sell it also, id have close to enough to just have no money in the cobra.


So as far as suggestions.... What do you think about the interior? I think the charcoal on navy would look much better than that toilet tan.

i bought this car like 8 years ago dude. and ive built it and made it back to stock like 4 times


its just not practical with 5000 dollar wheels and tires sitting 3/4 of an inch off the ground in cincinnati ohio. and im a horsepower junkie. Honestly the shits been on jackstands in my garage for a few months now. I just get agitated by the time my rear tires are off my curb and the fucking side skirts are bent in half every time i pull out of the driveway. Or every time some faggot riceboy pulls next to me and revs it.

the interior looks like someone with the rage virus manually aborted babies in the back seat. Ive been throwing wheels and shit in the back seat since 2000 with plans to get a new interior since then. I just dont like tan at all.

cant really sell the shit unless its painted and the interior is done. And im terrible with taking pictures cause im lazy when it comes to doccumentation sometimes. So i may as well finish the shit, get it shot, then decide if i want to dip it, or just keep it like the garage ornament it is now.


Im just ready to build something i can make over a thousand horse to the wheels with. Who knows tho, i may stunt around a little in this shit when its painted. but doubtful once its painted, then when it drags over shit it will actually be tearing shit up.

Thanks for the props and shit dudes. i can assure you, that regardless of if i dont have a tl, ill still be here to share it with you. Rest assured that whatever i build will be just as different as this car. Even if i chose the most popular car to modify that there is, it wouldnt be anything like anyone has seen. ive just got ideas poppin daily.

damn, well colt. ive been ordering parts, taking a leaf out of your book. going to run the 400lb springs in the front, 500lb in the rear but koni yellows front and rear, as well as the sway bar. im not running such an offset. im rolling 05 tsx type-s rims in gunmetal grey and hoping to get the inspired body kit with paint jod in super gloss black that looks like you can walk up to the car and sink your hand into the paint.having a hard time finding the parts for the nsx brakes conversion however. hoping to black the lights this weekend as well.bought a 95 legend 5 spd and obd-1 harness as well as tuning software for it.. should be interesting to complete one day, just need better injectors, fuel pump...ect what kind of performance parts do you have in mind for these 3.2's?

found another set in florida. but the people who ran the fucking salvage yard were FOB messicans and do not understand what the shit i was talking about on the phone. Got my friend to decipher to them what i was talking about, we waited on hold while they went and checked on condition. came back and said "it looks great, the tan cleans up easy though".. tan? so no go on the charcoal

carpet is fine just needs to be shampood.

-replace the inserts in the door panels with black alcantra suede?
-recover the seats in the stock tan but with the centers alcantra black suede?
-remove the headliner, a pillar cover, b pillar cover, c pillar cover and have them all recovered in black alcantra. vynal dye the plastic pieces like the dome light and so forth. prolly eliminate the speakers by the map lights and eliminate the oh shit handles
-recover the arm rest thing with black alcantra suede?

i measured everything out on the suspension so its at max travel the way it sits. meaning, it does not go up anymore, its built and designed for whats on it. NOTHING RUBS AT ALL EVER

I almost bought one, too. Fully built by a shop, upgraded turbo, wide body, etc. I didn't have the money at the time, though so I lost out and someone else bought it.

got tan rsx leather front seats. working on welding up some brackets for them. Lost the seatwarmers though. No worries, ive driven this thing like 6 times this year. none of which were in the snow anyhow.

next on my list is paint and the door panels.


thinking about putting a tl style shifter in my accord though. and a stock newer rl steering wheel maybe? The shifty shitty quality accord stuff is trashy. That and its just the riceboy in me crying out. haha

well the center console and dash are already darker than the stock seats so it does not look bad with the shade contrast. the only thing it does not match is the door panel inserts and the rear seat now because orig they all matched, and now with the rsx grayish tan they dont.

The door panels on my car are ripped on the insert on both driver and passanger door, and the rear ones are stained as hell. Im gonna take the door panels off and try to find an upholstry shop in town that could re-cover that section black suede. I contemplated matching the rsx seats but i dont feel like doing that, and i think i could make the black really look bold and add a small swatch of the rsx tanish color in there too. Its more of a gray tan than a brown tan though. Looks way better. Seats fit perfectly in this car and look killer. If it does not storm i will bring this camera home and take some pictures of it.

I think if i really use something good to clean the carpet, i can bring it back. Its got a few spots from back in the day dropping blunts on the carpet and shit in one area, but whatev.

What do i use to clean the carpet good as shit, and the headliner good as shit? And what do i look for and should i expect to pay for this interior stuff. I have not done the interior/riceboy junk ever. I more or less just need it so it doesnt look like a dude with one skinny arm and one beefed out arm. You know, like junkass interior with dope exterior type shit.

I got a little longer here at work so ill snatch the camera to take some shots if i rememb dont wish too hard tho im still lazy.


Rear seat will get covered to match front so it should be fine. Honestly my windows are 98 percent and the whole front windshield is 50. you cant really tell the difference even in my garage with 12 8 foot strip lights

Man, I really wanna see how the car looks with RSX seats. I was wondering about that when I bought the car, but didn't think it would fit well.

Do you know if any of the RSX seats(such as Type-S) are heated, and is it possible to install the seat warmers so it would work just like the stock seats. Oh and the RSX seats aren't electric no?

well ill go take some shitty cell phone camera pictures since you dudes love them shits and i didnt grab the camera.

no heaters in the rsx ones but i think you could take them out of you wanted to. i just didnt care. honestly you could put the rl seats in there too or new tl seats, i just didnt feel like searching. I got these for 300 bucks off some guy locally that swapped his rsx interior to black. I really sacrificed here. from the start i wanted charcoal or modded charcoal to black interior on my car. Prolly gonna peel the 50 percent tint off the front windows and limo it all out now though.

contemplating doing a gnarley ass exhaust tho. Like thinwall burns stainless 3 inch 304 mandrel bent, burns stainless muffler, and a turndown before the lower control arms. not even out the back.

Only real other items i need to get are better looking headlights and better looking taillights. besides that, its just stuff that needs to be refinished. Id have finished this car a long time ago, i just got that accord for a daily driver, fixed it, parted that integra out, am putting my civic hatchback together, and bought this ls1 fc. Shit just got me a little sidetracked. Once i get everything situated, id assume it will be another royal flush of mods at once and its done.

My friend is shooting it when its done, and a close friend of mine at jhpusa is good friends with the editors of superstreet and they seem to think its just as cool as you guys do. What can i say, i guess my ideas dont suck afterall. haha

hopefully before thats done i could get some more done to my fc tho, it would be cool to have like a 2 car deal. but im prolly wanting too much, either way who cares, its fun for me so whatev. Too bad jspec tl and diego live far away, i think these 3 cars together would be a dope ass shoot since we all have the vip thing going.

and on a side note, it looks like the wings west rear lip for my 99 accord may fit on the ua tl rear bumper so ill take some shots of that for you to ponder.
