Nice, congrats.

Now, have you had any serious problems up until this point?

No, not really. I had an accident that almost toalled the car, but that was an accident, not part failure or anything. Most major thing was replacing the O2 sensor..that was $400.

The only minor drivetrain thing is tranny flushes every so often b/c the tranny shifts kinda rough and shudders bad at idle. Minor cosmetic stuff include cracking driver's seat, scratches and dings, D4 light, speakers going, carpet stains. Nothing really abnormal on a car with 150k on the clock.

I really want a stick shift car bad (also one with better gas mileage), but I'm in a $$ situation where this is what I have for now and until I am really forced to get something different I will probably just stick with this.

Sounds pretty good, I got my O2 sensor replaced for free and everythign else is minor.

How bad is your gas milage? And what have youd one to try and fix it? It should, with moderate town drive (not full out city, but not highway) be in the low 20's. Highway should be high 20's. I don't know about real (NYC) city milage though.

I have that suddering idle thing to and it shakes pretty bad at times. Was that fixed with a tranny flush, i though it would be the coolent because when the fan kicks in it stops then it starts a little later. It just annoying.

My gas mileage is basically 20mpg. I get 280 miles on most fill-ups (89 octane...every once in a while 87) with 50/50 driving (I travel about 200-225 miles on the weekends) and then to and from work (20 minute drive w/some lights and stops) during the week. I only remember one time where I got 300 miles on a tank and that was with 100% highway.

After the tranny flush, it seems to get better, but then goes right back. I really hate this transmission...might be my #1 hate in the car. I'm not complaining though because this car is better than most that people have at my age. Even though I am dying for a stick shift crazy fun car, I suck it up and drive my automatic 5-cylinder

It seems like it should be higher than that, especially with a 50/50 mix. It should be up closer to 25mpg.

I think my next goal is to solve all the milage problems, like a big huge list of things that should be done.

I'm getting similar to that. I've gotten 6.8L/100km (34.8mpg) on the highway though, on occasion. In the city I get 11.5L/100km (20.5mpg), driving a little hard. If I drive nice I can get it down to 10.4L/100km (22.6mpg). It's crazy to know that the third gens are getting the same mileage as me with an extra 94hp.

My gas mileage sucks, I am used to it. 400 KMS to a tank. HORRIBLE !!! That was the one thing I didn't miss about not driving my car the last 5 months!! But it's SOOO worth it having it back now!! HAHA!
