you can mess with your friends, saying that you tweaked your car into going past redline. i do it all the time with the accord reverse indiglow guages i have right now. my friends always say that i just past my redline. there like you have balls my friend.
hahahahahahaha

Since my D4 light went out like 6 months ago, I think I'm going to replace the gauges when I replace that bulb...as soon as I see some pics of course. I went on that website and i guess there are like 4 different colors we can choose from? I was wondering if it is hard to wire that up...

Take pics soon please!!!

ok I already change them and they look hot
they're nice
I got the part that I was missing and I didn't install it
cause it looks a lot better without it
it has two colors (blue and green) and i prefer the blue one
I took off the 2 little bulbs that are on top of the cluster
if you leave those on is not gonna look good
during the day as you all know they're white
and it looks good too

now I don't have a digital camera to post you guys pictures
but a friend of mine told me that he can borrow me his
if I can take some pictures does anybody on this forum would post them for me ?
let me know
bye

hmm

i may get those. however ............ damnit i want to sell my car...

id say possibly a non transparent paint would do. cover that **** up in the center where it glows gree, take out alot of the donger extra lighting, and just leave the numerals and stock stuff light up, keep them white. now comes findng a paint to cover the light. i bet with a colormatched white masked off carefully and laid on thick, there would be no trace of the green light through the guage. then those would be some hard guages. imagine if all the letters lit up amber or red instead of vomit 1984 celica guages green, that would make those near erotic. haha

yes they slip over the stock ones and so easily
but what it really helps is the little screws that goes on top
that is what it makes them no to touch the neddles

I can post instructions on how to take out and open the cluster. As far as installing the guages, I dont have them so I'm not sure exactly how its done. It cant be hard once you opened the cluster up.

Its actually really easy. i had never worked on a car before until i changed my gauges, when i first got my tl like a year ago. you learn as you go, you just have to figure out where all the screws are and take everything out, just be gental and careful

figures a noobie is trying to get something off of his fellow TL'ers...hey noobie, you either post the intructions or go about your way. if it was your way, then a lot of people would have shelled out "gifts" to others on this board in order to mod their car. i would have paid 96TL a long time ago for posting instructions on taking out the yellow condom thingy. so like i said, either put up or shut up
