well, i always wanted an anthracite or something near that colored car but when i use adobe, it darkens the whole picture and not just the car, so can wackjum or KADAW P.S. it for me please?!

ive seen alot of hot colors tl's, but will someone ready paint there tl! i ready dont want to be the only one with custom paint.. who will be the next one?i ready like that dark gray with the black housing headlights and black wheels that looks ready clean..

those any one leave in florida? i would like to do a tl meet.

man this is a sweet thread you guys have some good photo shop skills. people are using my car in pics thats great, lol. my car looks like a fuckin 4x4 in those pics hahaha im glad i lowered it. I really like jspecs car in my color. makes me want to get black wheels. try using this pic for coloring



It doesnt have the lip on, but its a better angle, without the monster truck height, lol.

Wow, Never thought I would stir up such a paint frenzy thread... Glad to see there is a wide enthusiasm for aftermarket paint options... After seeing all that photo shop work I am definately going to consider a paint job... red or not... soon! Thanks guys! Discuss more!

i would have to agree that mikes tl is clean as shit. that car sparkles better than new. i wish my paint looked that good.

That ride is treated like a baby! Excellent work, now if I could only think to take pics of mine after a good bar and wax... Maybe sometime soon... oh and after about a month I removed that cheapo chrome grill kit... started to grow ugly on me... and its cheap looking what was I thinking!!!

Oh, and for the photoshop guys, which I must say are doing a good job... I wanna see something in two tone.... It might look stupid, but I saw a third gen the other day where the bumpers, doors, mirrors, and quarter panels were like a dark blue, and the roof, hood, trunk lid were a dark silver... It looked sooooooooo bad ass.. also slammed with rims and a body kit

we got to see some body kit in our tl's, who has pics of a tl with a lip kit? and im not talking about that ugly jt evo kit, im talking about inspiredmotor or some old scool vaul.

I actualy was thinking of doing a 2tone when i was working on that carbonfiber hood one, but got buzy, n its late tonight, juss got home from the girl's house ima crash. I probly do it tomorrow, and if anyone has a good pic for me to do it on then post it, would be very helpful. im out.

Yeah, with a little more consideration, I have to say I think a darker, not maroon, but darker shade of red would go best

sorrie its big, couldnt resize it other wise the 'fake cf hood/roof/mirros would look pixels n stuff. 2tone look.. i didnt have a better pic to do it on

Its a waste of money. You will probably sell the car and never make your money back. Also red fades faster then any other color I know from experience. My opinion is dont do it!

Maybe paint on older cars would fade faster... but modern day paint is designed to last the life of a car...10-15 yrs easily without fading... And, if I did paint it I wouldnt need to sell it, just drive it! But thanks for the opinion

BTW, if you have a personal opinion please share it, but to try and use "money, or value, or practicality, or any other reason" is irrelevant... Painting a car is possibly the most valuable, rewarding, popular thing you can do to a car... Think of replacing your engine and transmission.... your car would run brand new and last a lot longer right.... so getting a paint job... is like overhauling the "looks" of your car. Granted it is expensive, but people waste plenty more money on stupid things that break and don't do anything for their cars, where as a paint job is a lasting and personalized way to customize your car... Agreed?

How'd you do the carbon fiber look? Pattern overlay? Nice job. Although, you need to work on your decals.

In my own defence, that decal- Btw is my name- is juss tacked on so noone would take this pic n claim it as their own, iono y i did that cuz im sure onone on here would actualy do it, but i always stick my name in my photoshop work somewhere, just to get my name out there. . hah
