my bearings in my ac idler pulley went bad. was whining like a supercharger. i replace that and all is quiet again. i once pull up to a stop light and the guy next to me, in a integra, said he wanted to race me. so i revved my engine, just to play along, and he said he dont want to anymore because i have a supercharger in there..lol.. i busted out laughing..

Lol I don't think I miss that annoying noise at all. Sounded like an old Ford with a steering pump going out.

Lol my car use to have the same supercharger noise.. lol but mine was my oil pump for my tranny that went out that made the noise. Lol

I have a similar whine, but mine seems to be the alternator. But it has been this way for well over 100k, so I am just going to leave it!
