i have a confession to make...

okay, just btw us 1st gen'ers... back in 96, before i bought the 1st Gen TL, i was going to get the 1st gen CL 2.2 stick!! *dodging from thrown objects* i was so close to buying it too! the guy wouldn't budge on the price so i bailed on his ass. later i found a better deal on the TL so here i am today! i am SOOOOOOOOOO glad i got this car though..for real.

so what car did you all have before this car? or what car were you about to get? are you proud you ended up buying the tl?

back in 97 i was about to put down money for a
1997 Nissan Maxima SE 5 spd, white..
beautiful car..
had i bought it, it would definitely have been supercharged by now... god i loved that car..

my consolation??
the TL looks waaay better than a max...
it has aged better than any max i've seen
and people turn their heads to see my car, ghetto ppl, business ppl, young kids, seniors.. guys and girls...

but i still love nissan (no flames pls)...
i have a 95 240sx ... beautiful car.. hell of a fun car to drive... corners like a dream... hella better than a max.. good thing i waited

before my TL i had a 96 Maxima. totalled it and i had a choice between a 97 maxima that was white and a 5-speed, a all wheel drive 96 eclipse gsx that was turbo (this car is really rare). and my white 96 2.5TL. the truth is that i loved my Maxima and it was hella fast and i really wanted to buy the 5-speed, but the guy never got back to me and he sold it.

so it was between the eclipse and the TL, Luxury or speed. i would of gone to the eclipse, but my dad convinced me on the TL, why, because more reliable, an old guy probably drove it. the eclipse was proabaly abused by a teenager.

the only time i regret getting a TL is when i get smoked by somebody.

I had a 97 Sunfire then last year I bought a used 97 TL. Big difference! I don't think you can compare them in anyway. I'm happy with the purchase cuz its a good ride. The only problem is that people think I have mad cash when they see me with the car.

i had a 2000 solara, but before i got my tl i was close to buying a 99 cl.......blk/blk 5 speed low miles. I dunno how i ended up w/ my tl one day i just woke up and decided not to buy the cl and look for a 98/97 2.5 tl....the junk part is i had to wait for about 3 months before i found one to my standards. But it was worth the wait.

I was driving an 86 accord with 400,000 miles on it and still going strong, so no questions I wanted another Honda.

I was looking at NSXs but couldn't quit afford one so I went with my 98 2.5TL. 2 years later I still have the TL in my drive way and a 92 NSX in my garage

Nice! I actually have a '97 BMW M3 that used to be my daily driver. I put 25K miles on it in 1 year and I didn't want to keep putting on so many miles on it every year. So I decided to pick up a second car. I originally planned to pick up a '95 Maxima SE, but couldn't find the color and price I wanted. So I ended up getting a '97 3.2TL. I have no regrets. This car is the luxurious daily driver I was looking for. But back to the M3, I'm looking to sell it in the summer and move into a '97 NSX-T. Man those things are sexy! :wow:

Thanks
Yeah but my NSX is a 92 with 54,000 miles on it. I keep it inside most of the time. I must say though that I love that car. It is one of the only mid engine cars I've ever been in that is almost as quite as my TL. The power on it is prob not as strong as your M3 but the uni-body all aluminum chassis handles like a dream. Nothing more fun then driving a care that you can feel every inch of.

I think both the NSX and M3 are great cars. They're very similar in that they handle great, have good power, and set the trend back in their heyday. They were great technological achievements back then and continue to match up against the newer cars that are out now. However, you'll definitely get more looks driving down the street with the NSX

Slagboy.

EDIT: If you've got any pics, I'd love to see them.

i love both the nsx and the m3.....actually, id choose the m3 over the nsx *dodging from thrown objects* but hey...thats just me. the reason for this is the m3 has more power but thats only if i buy a car for ME. on the other hand, if i wanted to buy a car to pick up h*es, the nsx is THE car!!

for real though, lets say you roll up at a club and...lets say there are chicks outside looking at you. you think you'll get some punani if you drove a m3 or a nsx?! c'mon now!!!!!!!!! LOL

I had a 97 3.0 CL. Spent like 4 grand on it and it was stolen. I actually was going to get an Eddie Bauer Expedition (glad I didn't) but my father had a 96 2.5 and he kept it clean so I decided to get my TL. I spent the extra cash and got the 3.2 though. I don't understand why his black 2.5 interior was darker than mine. The same color tan just darker.

I shared a 1995 Mazda Millenia with my brother. My dad just got me a 1997 3.2. The Millenia corners better but the ride in the TL is a little bit better. In terms of speed, the Millenia S would be close but the standard L isnt even in the same league as the 3.2. I love both cars still.

I believe str8acura is commenting on the fact that you'd only be able to pick up 1 hoe in the NSX as opposed to a few hoes in the M3

I know right? What's up with that (referring to the gold-digging hoes) and the huge SUVs? I wanna know what these asians do for a living cause they sure don't look like they make mad money.
