I posted a bunch on this in another thread, but I don't remember where. Anyhow, you'll need two 8-ohm resistors to go inline, and they're available at Radio Shack. I'll post up a pic or at least the part number when I get home tonight.

~Cheers~

P.S. I had considered making the left dome speaker the right channel, and the right dome speaker the left channel, so that both front passengers experience a little better sound staging, but when I spliced them in, I had forgotten, hehe.

Part number 271-120! I went to look for it twice, and forgot what I was looking for when I got to the garage, haha. My memory sucks sometimes.

It's about $3 each after tax. Pretty cheap to get those things working!

I can't remember what colour was what (they're all green with varying silver patterns), but you'll figure it out soon enough. Just listen for which ever one is working (left or right) and go from there.

^ The speakers have an 8-Ohm impedance. A lower number is a stronger signal, and the other speakers are 4-Ohms. That is why we filter out some of it, and end up with an 8-Ohm signal so we don't blow those speakers. If you have some friends with bridgeable amps, and you can get your hands on an old 8- or 16-Ohm bookshelf speaker, try bridging the output from the amp (maybe 2-Ohms) into the speaker, using the lowest gain. Most likely it'll just pop right in your hands.

Thanks a ton for the part number Go90go! I finally have my dome mid ranges wired to my Nakamichi head unit. I didn't do it myself... asked a mechanic friend to do it for me. He wired the mid ranges with the rear speakers. He said since the front speakers already powered the tweeters, it was a good idea to hook the mid ranges to the rear speakers... the only flip side being I would lose the mid ranges if I used the fader to power only the front speakers. Since I never use the fader... I didn't mind it.

^ NP, m8. Mine are in with the amp output for the fronts, and criss-crossed. The left dome is the right channel and the left dome is the left. If you think about it, the driver and the front passenger both get enveloped in sound, properly biased, too.

~Cheers~

^ No, just two are needed, one per speaker. You wire it in-line on the positive lead, and that's it.
