Hello all new member

thought id put myself out there. i coming from a honda civic, bought a first gen jsut for a change of things. black with tan interior. got it for almost free but hope its worth the project.
some only issues are some oil leaks? ive read some main things to look for are the distributor oring and mainly the cam seal? car was owned by a close friends mother although the car has 200k it was rebuilt at 150k. the car was handed to him but he had no need for it so i was handed it for a whopping 300$ what are your thoughts? ill post images of the cars condition. please save negitive comments to your self its just a side project but would like some helpful feedback. thank you in advanced

Congrats on the pick up! Is it a 3.2 or 2.5?

Welcome to the forum WetCMonkey

Glad there's another 2.5 out there with lots of life left! As a 2.5 owner myself, I can tell you there are some leaker spots, but it sounds like your engine was rebuilt at 150K, am I right? I would say just with any car, lubing up with a tranny drain and refill, diff fluid change, PS fluid exchange, and radiator drain and refill, you should be good to go!

nice! i am saving up some side cash to work on this now, i do plan on replacing a lot of stuff, after today im worried about the belts all of them even the timing belt its sat around for a looong time. ac power steering so forth they are all dried out and cracked im surprised they didnt snap. other than that i am satisfied with the car. cleaning the leather inerior now.
however i find the lack of parts for the first gen tl i may not be looking hard enough but ive seen lip kits. but i will be in and out of the forum getting some info and so far im liking this forum especially the problems and fixes area ive found more than all of my problems there.
