Hanabi HID buy
ok Im gonna go ahead and post this, considering the fact that its a small group buy and its from Ron, I dont think admins should have a problem with it. consider me scolded if they do

well regardless of which kit we go with, lets get a tally going of heads that are at least interested- I got five, which is enough for at least the 500 dollar hanabi kit from Ron, which James (962.5TL) said is worth it, and Dope.

well, im "interested" but im trying to save money on more cool stuff (well, to me they're cool 
) such as those new wheels mike showed us...for the 4 luggers out there, the new coilovers he got from japan, and the lip that he's working on, PLUS he's got more goodies coming but he's not telling us!! 
so yeah......im still waiting for his surprise(s) 
so i guess you can count me out on this one... sorry fellas! but hid's are on my list of "wants"

I just installed my HID's last night. Damn....its so much brighter then the PIAA bulbs. It was biatch finding room for the ballasts but i managed to find room for it. For those who are still thinking about buying bulbs instead of real HID's, you guys should just save up. If you buy like PIAA's they'll die on you withing a year. If you pay like 75 for each set, it'll just add up on you. Might as well just save up for HIDs.

i found that the easiest place to mount the ballasts and ignitors is to take the bumper cover off and if your looking and the side of the car look at the corner part of the headlight and below that if a big metal space, i had enough room for 2 ballasts and ignitors on each side

Escarbonie... if you hav any doubts in your mind dont get them, you know ive had the hanabi's on my car for a good 7 almost 8 months and the only problem i had was i blew a bulb 
( it wasmy fault ... i guess you could say i jsut had to mess around with stuff that wasnt broken) other than that they are perfect and i have never regreted the moey i spent on mine for one second.

oh man, so hanabi's are reliable and as bright or brighter than 2003 CL-S stocks. hmmm i want to get them but "ankiigrl" said it melted something in her headlight and i sure dont want that to happen to me. she's given up on modding her car because of that because one of her headlights dont work or something?

hid lamps are only 35w but they give you two times the lumens of a 55w halogen lamp. Unlike halogen lamps that use a filament and provides resistance to electricity to produce light ....hid lamps use xenon gas which allows an arch or electricity to be created and produces light........this may not be 100% accurate but its my attempt to explain how it works.

escar: hey so she just got cheap "bulbs"?? she didn't actually buy a whole "hid kit"?? she just bought bulbs right??? oh man, decisions decisions.... i wonder how hard it is to install these? 962.5??? IS IT HARD???

im not interested in the HID buy yet.......id like to see what the color output looks like first .
as far as ease of installation,,,,,,to me its not hard at all and should take about an hour

96tl: u have 4 6000k's??? maybe im not understanding this hid thing. what are 6000k?? aren't they the "whole hid" kit? which would include all the wires and the bulbs?? and what is a ballast? forgive my lack of hid knowledge

ohhhhhhh now i get it!! man, im taking summer school right now (physics) and im not understanding sh*t but this hid info is going to stay in my head forever So how often do the headlight bulbs burn out? do they last as long like how i would imagine stock headlights on cars with factory hid's??? or do they burn out once every 6 months, like how i hear everyones bulbs burn out?

They last a very long time. Dont worry about that. I think 2500-3000 hours? You're lucky if you get 500 hours out of superwhites. Maybe 900 out of stock halogens.
