D4 Light Question

Hello Guys,

My first post, thank you for such an informative forum and thanks in advance for your help with my question.

I have changed the bulb for my D4 light however, it's not working

Any ideas what else could be causing this? I know this light is also used for other diagnostics, what should I try next. Has anyone else experienced this?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Is this a new bulb? Or did you pull a working one out?
If new, maybe it's just defective.
Have you tried putting in a different bulb with the same results ?

What I did was just take the D2 bulb and stick it in.

Hey guys,

thanks for your response. it is a new bulb. I just put in. My problem is that I know this light is also used for some other electronic diagnostics. I just want to make sure everything is ok. I guess i'll go down to my local stealership and see if the can run some diagnostics and find out what's up.

thanks for the response.

maybe you used the wrong bulb? Sometimes bulbs fit into a socket but if the model number is diff then it'll blow out fast. Mine burnt out LONG time ago so i took out the gauge cluster and switched the burnt one with the "1" bulb.

there really nothing goin to happen, if your use to not seeing a light on the d4 den dont replace it..u can always take out the bulb out for D1 and just replace it in D4 rather then buyin another bulb.

forget the user manual..i have a service manual i upload it last month..use the search bar to downlaod teh manual

and welcome to the forums

Sorry to hijack the thread but what diagnostics is the D4 used for? Min'es out too but I want to rethink about leaving it like that if it is also a diagnostic light. I don't want to find out later that I could have saved myself a bunch of trouble had a I kept my D4 light running !!
