cheap starter @ AutoZone

i went to my local autozone and they're charging me 200 bucks for the starter. if i get it installed and bring back my old starter to them, I'll get 60 bucks back so therefore I am really paying 140. I dont know why its so cheap?? They better not be selling me a rebuilt starter! I went to NAPA and O'Reilys and they charge like 220-250. Actually I think autozone charges 119 bucks but it has to be delivered to the local one near my house so he is probably charging me 20 bucks for delivery...which is still cheap.

Auto Zone rocks my socks

TRUE- All starters are rebuilt, but they are OEM. It just depends on who rebuilds them.
140 does that include install? I paid 320 total, which I think is cheap since it requires removing the left axle to get the starter out.

damn then that means they gotta put my car on the lift. The problem is that i have skid skirts and i dropped my car. Those bars that they use to put beneath my car wont fit beneath my skirts!! i can barely put my jack down there so i know those bars wont fit.. now i gotta go out and buy small 2x4 wood blocks and drove over them in order to get the bars under there.

Depending on the kind of lift you can either do the block thing, or even just pick up the car by the fender when you swing the lift arms out and under, used to have to do thaqt all the time at my friends garage on my Integra, works fine. One person lifts, the other swings the arm under. Just make sure the foot on the end is tall enough to hit the jack point without the arm itself touching the skirt, usually should be fine as it sits about an inch or two higher than the arm.
