I am going to install my stereo this weekend and I'm having trouble finding a good place to run the power-wire through the fire-wall. Do you guys have any suggestions

What TL you got??? 2.5 or 3.2...
By the battery... the 2.5 has a gromet that you can put the power cable through... it will end up right under your glovebox...
I don't know about the 3.2... should have the same gromet... just different type of wires running through it... (3.2 owner please verify)...
BTW: Welcome to Acurazine...

Just make a small slit and insert. It's high enough were water is of no concern.

It depends what TL you have... V6 or I5 (aka 3.2 or 2.5)...
It makes a difference because the 2.5 battery is on the passanger side in the back of the engine bay... 3.2 battery is located in the driver side front of the engine bay...

It also looks cleaner then running it through the door and showing a bunch of wire hanging everywhere... that was the way i had mine temp. when i first got my car... then i used the gromets in the firewall...

Thanks for all of your input. I ended up drilling a new hole and running 2 gauge wire through the driver's side, then sealed it up with a grommet. (looks super clean) I also just put in my new alpine deck. Tommorrow I'm going to try and finish up the install...thanks again for the help...peace

Oh you know I will. I just ran new wires from the tweeters in my dash to the crossovers for my CDT componet set. I didn't have time to finish everything after work though ...hopefully tommorrow.
Running new tweeter wires was kind of a pain in the neck but I have a very helpful tip if anyone is thinking of doing the same thing...let me know
