Ebay has plenty of side markers...it is a matter of wiring up from the signals on the front to the side marker on the fender....

You would most likely need a bigger relay to do this since it would be more power that the relay has to put out.

I am so excited tmnhs81 will take this on. I have read from my hondasuv on this DIY that he had it connected where it flashes alternate with the front signals.

Let's go!

Taken from HONDASUV: sr-crv post

"i wired mine up to do everything. i figured if i went through that much trouble then i wanted to get my "moneys worth"...lol the sidemarker has 2 wires of course, 12v and ground. i ran the 12v to the 12v of the turn signal. then i wired the ground of the sidemarker to the 12v of the park light. yes you read it right. both wires run to both 12v wires. when each wire doesnt have 12v sent to them (whether its turning or running lights) they rest at ground. so when i use my turn signal, it has 12v from turn signal and ground from park light (resting at ground). then when i use my parklights i get 12v from parklights and ground from turn signal wire. but heres the cool trick, when my park lights are on and i use my signal, it alternates on and off the opposite from my turn signals. it has 12v from the parklight and when i turn the signal on it sends 12v to it to. it has 2 12v and no ground so it cuts off. ill have to get a video of it up for yall to see."

Hmm.. thats a cool trick to do still work with your parking lights but works as turn signal too. awesome. Like I said before I'll def do it, but it will take some time. I am busy with some loan and stuff and I still have to order a set. You don't need a relay but you may want to replace fuse for parking lights and turn signals with a bigger one.

You have not seen nothing yet...nice looking V's in there...looking at some side markers on ebay, can't really tell what will and will not work.

I might have to visit a local BM store and check out side markers if they have them. We need the universal one, that comes with mount....

I am partial to clear lens and amber bulbs...will definitely work for you and me, with our Tl color, tmnhs81!!

this is easy, done it on my last 3 hondas, you just cut the fender with a dremel and tap into the turn signal wire...

How do you get access to the fender via the fender liner? And you just wired it in parallel with the turn signal? No relays or anything?

Finally where did you buy your markers?

Thanks.

^ EBAY is the only place to get them. Search for bmw side markers and pick whatever you like. Its simple task to do. Cutting a hole through fender is only hard part/time consuming.

I will check out the BMW's. I have seen S2000 side markers, but are replacements not whole assemblies.

Thanks.

Sabers share the same side markers as EK civics, prelude (not sure which ones), and Legend, and im sure a few more cars. So it shouldn't be hard sourcing down a set. I got a set of mint Legend ones off of ebay for $20 shipped.

I found a few clear Accord side markers, with clip and tab to hold them in place. I am ready to order a set, they are not bad in price, $15 shipped. I am just waiting on our master mechanic sensei tmnhs81 to kick us off....I will definitely write a nice DIY...after I am told how to do it....

^Its simple as you posted a link from hondasuv forum, all you have to do is find a proper location and "plug" them into side marker or turn signal and you are good to go.

do you have to tap into both wires of the turn signal or just the positive and ground the other one on the body some where?

Either way, it should work.

I think if you want it like its your side marker for most part and you want it to work as a flasher too (flasher+side marker both) you need two filament bulb and a different holder/connector with three wires 2 for power (1 for flasher and 1 for parking light) and 1 for ground. I am kinda confused right now.. Will get back to you guys with proper wiring instructions.

If you are using them just for flashers, you should just run wires and side splice/solder them into flasher connector in bumper.

Its a long post with alot of confusion, sorry.
