It was low speed. I hope its repairable. I don't have full coverage. So I get to pay
So, if anyone has an extra grill, I will probably buy it from you.

That could have been a lot worse, you just need a decent body shop and a few hundred bucks (if you shop around)

^ Then you can save up and have it painted if you can't find anything yourself.

It really sucks but it's not that bad. And yeah you definitely need used parts otherwise it'll cost a fortune.

I checked car-part, and I can't find a hood. Paint alone was 7-800

for $2400.00, you can buy a decent used TL in running condition and swap out as much stuff as needed.
Screw this body shop.
It does not look to be very expensive repair.

I started looking for one. All I find are the 2.5s.

Yep and there IS a difference between the hoods.. So dont buy a 2.5, it wont work without some real modding.

save the cash bro, dont waste ur money on the car, just drive it until you can afford something better and then sell it as is, even if you fix it , you wont even get back half of what you spent when its time to sell it , so its not worth it

I passed up a chance to sell it for 4200. I plan on keeping it until it dies. And then bringing it back to life again.

Glad to see that you are okay and that the car is fixable. The damage doesn't look too bad; $2400 to fix seems high, at least where I am at.

Now that's dedication nice die hard 1G'er. Sad to see advice about selling though. Same here until she dies we part. So just wait if you have to, I've been patiently waiting to do lots of crap to mine and I'm an impatient mofo. I say keep shopping around that's a rip off price you need some auto body acquaintances.

But its much cheaper than the original estimate of $2400.

Looks like the curse of crashes has moved to this side from 3rd gen and 2nd gen TL's, which is not a good thing.
