Thumbs up Another random ass project... 99 wrecked v6 accord

Well there aint no accord forums on here, and i dont talk to anyone on here sides you 1st gen dudes, so fuck it ill post it here.

Got this fucker for 800 bucks. Woman caught the car in a hairy divorce, and gave it to her 16 year old son to drive. He had it for a week, slid on rain and slammed into suv.. Had no money in the car, and they had liability only so no accident report was filed and they just towed the car home. Clean carfax, clean title, 84k miles loaded with every option besides spoiler.

check it.... before and in betweens give me some time, im remodeling my house, working full time, building the tl, a civic, and fixing this accord. so thats why other progress has been slow lately..

ONCE AGAIN 800 DOLLARS..

This integra i got for like 800 bucks back in the fall... It had worn out lost motion assemblies(the rocker arm "suspension" that the vtec rockers rest on when the vtec is not enguaged). The dude thought it was a rod knock.

Bought it for 800, drove it all winter in the snow, sold the stereo it had in it for 200. Pulled the engine, trans, wiring harness, ecu, axles, shift linkage, radiator, power steering pump, exhaust, and mounts out saturday morning in 2 hours and loaded it up onto some guys trailer.. Sold just the shell for 850.

Got a $-250.00 gsr engine now to throw in my old eg hatchback.

Damn nice find. I wish I had the skills to rapatch cars like that. That back seat looks comfy!!

PS: By the look of the TL in the pics, I still can't begin to understand how the tires are not ripping off the fenders haha. Anyhow the awesomeness factor is very high as usual. The car looks so mean I wouldn't be surprised to see it eating people for lunch.

Im remodeling my bathroom in my basement. And i also built a theater room, so i was puttin the tl on hold fer a sec.

I drove it today though, the rear drivers side tire is straight showing belts already with like 2000 miles on the wheels. haha.. i have the camber all wacked out so its gobbling the fuck out of the tires. Ill go take some pictures real quick for you with my dudes cannon.

Far as the updates, my boy is ordering me outer lips. Instead of buying the whole barrel -27mm, im just going to get a 5.75 inch outer lip. With the camber pulled in big time, and the same inner barrel i have now id assume it will be totally custom. Like 19x10.675 -34.678 offset, nothing normal, just pieces put together till i get what i want. I want lips twice as deep. Id need 235 30 19s id assume also, so i dont see the 225s fitting on the rim anymore anyways so they were gettin replaced.

Honestly id assume the shit will blow out on the way home and destroy the lips on there now. But then ill be forced to go forward with ordering the barrels.

As for this accord(naw i didnt wreck it, some kid did, it was totally stock), i was thinking about 98 gunmetal nsx wheels, *will my eibach prolines from my tl fit the 99 accord v6*?, i got some black housing headlights since i couldnt find the whole euro r front end. I had everything but a drivers side (left side) fender. so i scrapped that idea, just painted the grill area black like the euro r grill is kina, and put some hid's in it. Prolly tint the windows the same as the tl (50% front doors, 50% whole windshield, 5% all 3 rear windows, and add an eclipse double din nav/dvd player and put all the boston acoustics shit i had from my tl into it.

The tl tires dont really move though, the suspension is so stiff i can take a 90 degree turn at over 50 and the bumper does not even scrape the ground. The bumper sits under 2 inches off the ground too. lift off the gas when you are doing it though, it comes out like you pulled the ebrake. Mash the gas though and it pulls right back through. It aint no hot rod drag race car, but im confident on curvy roads that it will terminate most cars. Hell, im cocky it will because no one around ohio drives corners hard anyways. Thats what this car is built to do. The wheelbase, weight, and setup i have on here now is not even comparable to little cars. The shit turns on a dime, and i even made a u turn easier than a crx did the other day. Even with having the tire sit 1/8 inch fender gap when its lock to lock.

how do i fix that. I dont know, honestly ive sat in it for under 3 minutes since i bought it.
I dont really even have the time to fix the car most days honestly, but i guess i need to now. Its just not practical driving the tl every day. I fuck up the side skirt each time i drive up my huge ass curb. Its a new driveway, but the curb sucks dinosaur dicks.

Ill have to look and see if that light is burned out though,. if so ill be fixing it soon.

no paint yet, pretty close alignment of panels and shit for doing it in my garage and not even welding the radiator support on yet. haha.

Next is mig welding it carefully into place, sanding the flaggy spots, and repainting the radiator support, both fenders, the hood and bumper.

totally driveable now though. total spent, 2200.00 with tags, tax, title, cd player, boston acoustics component set, HID's, body parts, and full tank of 93 octane.

beats that shitter gsr i had. Now to rebuild that engine and put it into something to sell. hehe

then the question would be do the 2nd gen tl springs work on a 1st gen tl. If i had the springs i could figure it out myself.

got bored last night. pulled apart the free 210,000 mile gsr engine. Still ran good, and strong. Just i think the owner before me didnt like changing the oil very often haha..

here you go...

thats a cylinder head, not a scat porno prop

looks like it came from the bottom of the ocean

still ran great though. no play in rod bearings, soon ill have the bottom end apart to show the wear on the bearings and so forth...

Random parts for the build....

ctr trailing arms

ctr knuckles(JDM n1 edition used 36mm cv joint NOT 32MM tinker toy usa garbage)

this alone will terminate 90% of the all motor competiton from 0-100 secret weapon

pulse tuned sections in header, built for a 12.5:1 cr b18c5

my makeshift work area since i have not had the time to get a work bench yet.

i did manage to find a good work bench though.

throw some (shit) up there

(build)

-New ITR oil pump
-portflow springs and retainers
-peak intake manifold
-70mm tb
-310 injector
-weldon regulator
-oem master gasket set
-arp headstuds
-oem JDM p30 piston
-hytech pulse tuned race header with flex pipe and factory jdm itr heat -sheild adapter.
-no name(cut up pieces of aem intakes) short ram 3 inch intake
-Skunk 2 pro series intake cam, OEM CTR exhaust cam
-2.5 straight exhaust, burns stainless 2.5 resonater, 60 degree turndown behind shifter

-ATS 5.077 final drive (only 4 were ever sold to public outside of the ats factory circuit cars
-aasco 7 lb flywheel
-exedy stage 1 clutch (works fine, better than 7 broken act xtxx pressure plates from heel toe downshifting and trans braking)

CAR-
1993 honda civic dx hatchback
-cut all sheetmetal from inside doors, cut side impact beams out, drilled all spot welds from the inner skeleton/subframe reinforcement. Looks like a nascar inside now, just a bare smooth inside to the fender.
-no front windows
-no heavy garbage rollcage
-10 gallon fuel cell
-lexan quarter windows
-fiberglass hatch
-lexan rear glass

weighs just over 875lbs with the 5 lug hubs and a seat and 5 gallons of gas. Should be under 1300 with the full driveline

apexi n1 circuit pro suspension
jdm ctr n1 edition 5 lug full suspension, brakes conversion

No idea what to even estimate. With this shell and a 172whp stock gsr motor(just itr cams and a single runner intake manifold/header/exhaust/intake) it pulled a 12.70@109 b20vtec gutted crx like it was not even a race. Estimated at 205-210whp (may have to try different cams but whatev), top speed 132mph. Should literally drive like a sport bike. Id say deep 12's high 11s. But thats with me sneaking around tech inspection. One pass and id get thrown out of the drag strip here in town.

All i need anyhow is one time slip on 22x8x14 slicks. Then swap the 4 lug hubs back on there and some jank coilovers and buy it now for 7,000.

Know its not acura tl related, but im cool with alot of you and you seemed to be interested in my builds.. Watch this minimal expense build (under 1000 in parts besides the suspension, header, and final drive which i may keep and swap for factory si/type r stuff... all with a free sea barnicle looking 200k mile toilet gsr engine.

forgot that shell has a quaife full custom close ratio manual steering rack in it also.

mass mondo hard to find parts..

that gear, and the rack alone could bring in over a grand each. especially since ats is gondi now. been sitting in my barn for 4 years. haha

The hubs, n1 circuit pro coilovers, and fuel cell will go onto a 95 ex coupe im putting together next (once i have some fun with this). That car will run 40+psi and shooting for over 800 wheel horsepower on vp oxygenated 116 octane. When i get a chance ill take some pictures of all that shit. Its both my boy and my stuff, we are just starting to put our funds together and build a car to compete with. If i ever get time or garage space. Need to paint this dildo tl, get all the tools back into one shop instead of like 5 shops and finish it first.

these are not 2nd gen though. These are eibach proline springs from my tl. I bought brand new struts from acura for it, and the proline kit. Then dipped them for the shit i have now. I was hoping i could use them on this accord, the springs not the struts... Otherwise all i can do with them is reject lowballer 75.00 offers i get for interested "buyers".
