ABS light/problem
Upfront, I have not done a thorough search yet, maybe only half-hour so far...
Car: 1997 TL 2.5L
What changed: In preparation for winter, I swapped out the summer tires on my wife's car for the winter tires. Inside the front-left wheel, there was a lot of grease. From this image, http://www.flmidas.com/images/misc/ssFrontWD.png, it looks like it coming from the end of the CV shaft that connects to the wheel from around the boot. It was starting to snow so my inspection was cursory at best. When I get a chance, I am going to put it up on a lift and look more closely.
Symptoms:
ABS light comes on when braking somewhere between lightly and hard. Call it firm. I like to test drive the car after I make changes to ensure my wife's safety. I go from grandpa driving to my version of speed racer (for me that is driving the speed limit as quickly as I can, hard cornering, and slamming on the breaks for the most rapid stop possible). While driving around the neighborhood (grandpa style) there was nothing wrong. But once I got up to city speeds and braked a little more firmly the ABS light came on. I went to a road less traveled so I could hit the brakes however I wanted. Anything but grandpa strength braking results in the ABS light turning.
Right now I am going to blindly tackle the problem. I am going to have to clean the assembly of all the grease and fix whatever is wrong with the CV boot. But, I have no clue where to start with the ABS. I assume the two are correlated but I did also change all four tires. So there's that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A little off topic, and something else I havn't searched for yet. Do you have a good link for a CV shaft/boot DIY? Thanks for your help!

About the CV shaft......change the entire axle. Much less hassle and the cost isn't that much different. Don't know about the ABS problem but here's a link to a download of the service manual, maybe that will be of some help.
